Preller does one right thing and lets Tatis Jr. make the Padres opening day roster instead of playing service time manipulation games.

Kind of hilarious that the picture of that chicken tender will be the first post of the non-Sox thread all year long.

It's similar to how she does cordon blue.

That's one delicious looking chicken. It probably kills you at some point but goddamn we'll all die anyway, make my sweet death extra oily.

Let’s talk about the Orioles lineup. I was just at the gym and the Orioles/Yankees game was on. Batter after batter shouldn’t even be in the league. My god...

I'm struggling to remember a worse team on paper, especially compared to the rest of the division. The Devil Rays were terrible but at least they were an expansion team.

The only Oriole hitter who is worth anything is Mancini, and even then he's nothing to get excited about

I can't ever remember a worse lineup. The 2003 Tigers were worse on paper because they also couldn't pitch or catch the ball, but this Orioles lineup is an abomination.

What is the point to continuing to play Chris Davis? He should have been at home by the pool by now.
There really is no one worth playing over the player with the worst season in MLB history? Not even a young guy with a tiny bit of upside? If the Red Sox were in their situation, I'd be screaming for Travis or Ockimey to be the full time starter and for Davis to be off the team. I mean hell, they should have taken Ockimey in the Rule 5 and released Davis. How on earth could Ockimey be worse?

They are trying to lose. Under the CBA, the more games they lose, the better. There is significant negative value in going from a 46-win team to a 49-win team and accidentally finishing ahead of someone, because of the way the draft pool works - it's not just the higher pick, it's tying that pool money to how bad you were the previous season that has really tipped the scales from rebuilding to tanking. And nobody is better at helping them lose than Chris Davis.

And nobody is better at helping them lose than Chris Davis. I'm sure they could get far worse. They could trade Dylan Bundy to the Red Sox for Sam Travis to replace Mancini as DH. Wouldn't mind seeing what Bundy could do in the bullpen. They just have to know that whatever fans they have left would be far more interested in seeing young players play than Chris Davis.

Can’t you just imagine the opponent’s pitching reports? “Don’t let Mancini beat you!!”
