OK. I am gonna say it and I am not trying to burst anyone bubble's here, but doesn't anyone else feel a little weird about the fact that Chavis was suspended and he hits 450 foot homers ?
Happy for him....not judging....just wondering.

So we knew head lots of power. That’s his skill set that got him to the show. But did we know he was capable of routinely hitting tape measure jobs like this? I wasn’t aware his power game was that prodigious. There were lots of rumors, and those who had a chance to watch him hit bombs did say it was eye opening. But there's no Statcast in the minors.

What a shot by big boy Chavis, Sale came within 2 strikeouts away from a record for consecutive striekouts in a game before that groundout.

Wow, Sale has struck out the first five hitters. Pretty damn special. edit. Six! This is getting freaky. Eight! In three innings!

So apparently you have to wait 8 starts for Sale to be the best pitcher in MLB every year from now on. Or maybe we have to agree that we're both wrong and have to wait 8 starts for Sale to start pitching like Pedro.

Yeah you're judging, just like a Yankees fan would. Thanks for the deep response, I knew I could count on you. He hit longer HR in AAA. Why would you even bring it up? As an "offender" he will be tested more than anyone else for the rest of his career. I guarantee that Yankees fans who are paying attention to what he's doing are saying the exact same thing you just did, just like they continue to bitch about Papi.

Happy for him....not judging....just wondering. I would love if he hadn’t been, but he did his time... and a lot. They test at the major league level, too, so, barring a positive, enjoy the fireworks. It isn’t like his power comes out of nowhere. Edit: what Jim said.

Happy for him....not judging....just wondering. Hard to know. He's got the same swing I watched when he was a teenager, and the balls would rocket off the bat then. He hits them further now, but he is six years older also.

I am not judging him, despite your proclamation that I am. There are plenty of people that have been / will be caught, it is the way it will be. I have been around here enough to be given some leeway for a post like this, even if it may be unpopular. You don't have get so pissed about it and don't tell me what I should post.

Devers is really an incredible hitter. His average ability and power are gonna be scary.

At this point it would be wise to just walk Devers every time he comes to the plate.

For all the stories swirling this season, I feel like Devers is not getting his due. He could be in AA at his age, and he’s hitting .338. I mean, what kind of a monster is he? Dare I ask if he might compete with Mookie for team’s best hitter?

Chavis doesnt hit any cheapies does he. No coincidence the team started making hay when him and Raffy got hot.

Mookie probably catches that. Not that JDM screwed up, he’s just not as good at covering ground as Mookie.
Edit. credit to the hitter. He got good wood on the ball.

Said it from the word go when his first homer was oppo left center in Seattle. Opposite field power like his not common but right now he is just killin it.
