Okay, what? The transactions page says the sox optioned Josh Smith to Pawtucket when Price was activated, but wasn't he out of options?

So I'm guessing that he came over, enrolled in high school in Miami for a very short time, and then community college in the fall.

EDIT: And to answer the obvious follow-up question:

CJ Chatham IsoP this season is .075 His last year's was .069 How the hell a 6'4 dude has so little power? He's 24 so it's not like there's a lot of projections left. Seems we have a good number of those "empty batting average" cats in the system: Castillo, Chatham, Castellanos...

Another reason why I'm intrigued to see Dalbec get promoted too.

Maybe turn someone who shoots doubles into the gaps into a double digits HR hitter but this? We're in Che-Hsuan Lin/Ben Revere territory here.

I guess the difference is that an empty-ish .300 will play as a shortstop. Castellanos is going to have to tap into some power to play, but .300/.355/.385 is fine in the middle infield.

Casas playing 3rd base tonight. Speaking of 3rd base, Dalbec with his 8th error of the season

I probably missed a note but Lovullo is at Salem.
Duran 1/3 SB
lol, Fitzgerald picked off first base by a catcher throw for the final out of the 6th.

Gonzallez throwing a gem but damn, he must work fast, seems like the 1/2 innings go by in a blink.

Boom! Bobby Bombs with a home run to right center field. His K rate continues to decrease every game as well

Jarren Duran is on a tear But the rest of the system is hard to bear Also injuies are annoying Seriously though 11 on the IL in Salem alone? It seems like a bunch of overassignments But we really don't have a choice Also is there going to keep being this many rainouts? Hey this Ryan Fitzgerald guy is good
-An intentionally bad poem about the minor league season so far

Already the third time Salem has had to face Brady Singer. Duran is 4-9 with 2 K's against him.

We're in Che-Hsuan Lin/Ben Revere territory here. Chatham is fifth in the system in doubles so it sounds like he fits the profile you're talking about. Ian and Chris just talked about Chatham having the potential to "tap into" a little more power once he makes it to AAA and the different baseballs like two weeks ago.

Marcus Wilson was thrown out at home with one out in the bottom of the 10th. That team gets a lot of guys thrown out on the bases.
