They're meant to be a lot less formal than other threads on the forum, so to moderate them the same way would be silly. However, we do ask posters to maintain a certain level of decorum in these threads, and we plan on moderating the Gameday threads a little more actively this season. In particular, we ask that posters refrain from being overly repetitive with their posts (if you've made your point, let it go), refrain from monopolizing the discussion (if you are making more than a couple posts in a row, you probably need to slow down a little bit), and of course, follow the Ground Rules ( link). The point is to make these threads worth participating in and fun for all posters, from our long-time fixtures to people just signing up today. -The Management

I like our chances in the first two games. Which ERod will we get in the third? Can't wait - being in New England on vacation, all black outs...haven't watched a game in a week! Bring them on!

I remember Cherington mentioning Josh Bell as part of an offer for Lester before ultimately deciding on Cespedes, which turned into Porcello. Hard to criticize any move when players added contribute to a World Series winner.

Nunez is starting at 3B tonight. Cora is giving Devers the night off against Miley. I get that the kid needs a day off once in a while. I just wish we had someone better to spell him with. Maybe we could give some random dude in a Sox shirt sitting behind the bench a shot at 3B? Easy to get random dude to clear waivers after the game too, I bet.

With Holt ready to come back this weekend could this be the last game for Nunez?

Nothing personal against the guy, but he has just been awful out there.

Pearce had time to step and throw.
Bad enough Leon did a lazy back-hand attempt that got Diaz to 2nd, and then i don't understand why he just didn't put his glove in front of the plate instead of diving to tag him?
But, they should hit Miley for some runs.

How the hell does a ball hit 336 to straight away LF become a HR? Houston's dimensions aren't valid. The dimensions are supposed to be to the base of the wall.

One of those games where it is hard to know what to say. Too much irritation and frustration.
