Apples aren't citrus? *ducks* Some forms are. They are a grafted fruit. They subtleties are amazing. If you visit South America, you will find numerous varieties. My favorite is the Cherimoya. The term citrus differs throughout cultures, but yes, most cultures derive "citrus" from Asia. Citrus, such as grapefruit, can greatly interfere with people's metabolism and medication. I am grapefruit intolerant because it interacts with me in a negative way. Enough about the fruit. I am sorry for the digression..

Just to add to this, in the phylogenetic sense, citrus (oranges, mandarins, lemons, etc) is a distinct genus, and the species can hybridize with each other. Apples are in a totally different order, let alone family/genus and they’re genetically so far removed from oranges that there’s no chance of a graft or hybrid. Cherimoyas might be referred to as a kind of apple but genetically they’re actually way further away - they’re more closely related to nutmeg than apples or oranges.

This is all true, but it depends on where you reside. For instance, Lake Titicaca and that Andean region is a "sub-genius" of sustainable plant dna. I have a masters in Anthropology and focus on plant science in that region. If you want to find really good fruits, I have lots to recommend from the region..

You are obviously just reading things of of the internet. I only speak facts. Thanks.

Live in a country where they harvest these different fruits and you will know the difference and truth. In the meantime, get back to me when you do some actual research and live with these people.. It's unfortunate that I have to constantly educate people. Please find some time tonight to rethink your priorities. I charge a flat rate for 60 minute sessions. It's sad the way humans constantly watch the shit they can't walk away from..
