Owings ... Homered in each of last 6 games, over which he has hit .435 Yeah....and he has some MLB history...He had a bad start this year but is taking now. He seems like good injury protection.

I have seen Lugo twice now and I just want to go on record as saying this kid is a future starter for us. The swing is legitimate. He needs a couple years for the body to develop, additional at bats and experience facing off speed and breaking balls. After he passes those tests, he is in Boston, Larry the GCL Sox play the 29th in Sarasota against the Orioles. I hope to attend. If you are nearby, maybe we could meet up and compare notes. SteveofBradenton usually goes but I believe that he is away on business.

We've messaged. Larry is down vacationing but is leaving this weekend. Some people still work.😊 We plan to meet up next March and in June-July when he returns. SteveofBradenton is a great guy to attend games with and now lives here.

Yusniel Padron-Artiles seems to be having a nice season. Is he any better than his scouting report yet? His peripherals look pretty outstanding. 1.8/8.2 BB/K/9 in Greenville and 2.3/10.9 in Lowell. If he's still throwing upper 80s, I won't get too excited.

McGrath has obviously been awesome, but his numbers at Portland were good last year, too. I am wondering if there has been any change in his scouting report from where it stands now on his page? Is he still working 86-88? Has his upside advanced at all? I had the same question a few days ago....Chris noted that SP stands by its scouting report. Still, hard to argue with the results.....
