They're meant to be a lot less formal than other threads on the forum, so to moderate them the same way would be silly. However, we do ask posters to maintain a certain level of decorum in these threads, and we plan on moderating the Gameday threads a little more actively this season. In particular, we ask that posters refrain from being overly repetitive with their posts (if you've made your point, let it go), refrain from monopolizing the discussion (if you are making more than a couple posts in a row, you probably need to slow down a little bit), and of course, follow the Ground Rules (link). The point is to make these threads worth participating in and fun for all posters, from our long-time fixtures to people just signing up today. -The Management

The Rays are again pitching TBD on consecutive days. Poor guy must be exhausted. In an era of 5-inning starters, TBD’s rubber arm is very rare.

More improbable career path, Charlie Morton or Rich Hill? I feel like Morton may have overtaken Hill this year.

The Rays are a complete disaster now. If they can't get staters (no idea why they weren't in on Stroman) they should probably be selling. What an incredible collapse on their part, but you can't really account for key injuries.

Can't imagine they are going to be able to pick it back up with now both Glasnow and Snell on the IL for at least another month.

More improbable career path, Charlie Morton or Rich Hill? I feel like Morton may have overtaken Hill this year. If you read The MVP Machine, it goes into pretty well how the Astros pulled Morton off the scrap heap and made him a legit 2-3 starter. Ditto for Verlander, Pressley and - though not a scrap heap guy, much improved - Cole. Also discussed how Ottavino basically made himself elite over three weeks in the 2017-18 off season, even though the Rockies were against him changing his approach. Fascinating book about player development trends. Also spend a LOT of time with Trevor Bauer, and goes into JDM's much chronicled experiences.

If we can win 2 of 3 against both TB and NYY and then sweep KC (7 of the next 9).... I would be happy.

8 pitches, 8 FBs - Vazquez’ game calling drives me nuts. This stuff is decided by a large group of people. Vazquez doesn't come up with it on his own.

Can we pay Devers now please? Also, We really need to make Betts a legit offer today and if he declines..... trade him by tomorrow. Offer him 8/220.... final offer.

Can't complain about 3 runs in 2.1 innings against Morton.
