Karson Simas is a 6'6 175 pound shortstop. Don't see that very often.

Yeah, it's gotta be wrong. Just did some Google image perusing and either it's wrong or everyone in his life is huge.

When he was drafted, he mentioned that he was 6'1 on twitter. Check his replies.

Clovis West's Dusty Schramm, center, throwing in relief against Stockdale gets a visit from catcher Hayden Driggs and infielder Karson Simas on the mound during their Central Section Division I baseball championship game at Rawhide Ballpark in Visalia on Saturday, May 26, 2018. CRAIG KOHLRUSS CKOHLRUSS@FRESNOBEE.COMSimas is obviously a bit downhill here, but Schramm is variously listed as 6'0" and 6'1".

I've always had Mark Belanger in my head as the prototypical tall, thin, light hitting shortstop. I figured he must be at least 6'4" so I looked him up in Baseball Reference and he was only 6'1" (and also about 170 lbs). How things have changed........

Domino effect of Chatham (and Lopez) being promoted? As of right now, the roster and transaction log don’t show it but there needs to be a couple moves. Will be by game time. Portland has 6 guys on the IL that could theoretically be activated but maybe Fitzgerald comes up.

The peripatetic Nick Lovullo now appears on Portland's roster, though they still have some room.

Zeferjahn listed as Lowell's starter in their tweeted lineup. He's been paired with Kelvin Sanchez; not sure if he or Ramirez will follow (weather permitting).

Grant Williams prompted to Salem. Great contact hitter: 8.1% K rate in Lowell and then 10.9% in Greenville this year.

Congrats to Chatham. To be honest, I’ve always considered him trade bait because I questioned if he has a ceiling, but those high floor guys are very important too. Congrats CJ. He’s been very consistent and solid in the minors
