Are we sure it's Shugart? It'd be Biondic's turn in the rotation and the Drive's site has tonight's starter as TBD.
Asking because everyone's favorite Executive Editor is between jobs (literally, not in the "still looking" sense) and is headed up to Hagerstown this evening.

Question: Houck is throwing well out of the bullpen, so he looks like he could help there either this year or next. Will he get another shot at starting, or does his shift to the pen look increasingly permanent?

Shugart would be on 5 days rest, and we only have a 4 man rotation right now on team rosters. So I guessed the prospect that would be on 5 days (and to tease Shugart fans).

If Houck is making starts for next year's team, it will mean that either A) he totally re-made himself over the winter or B) something has gone horribly wrong. I could see the team using him a little bit more like they've used Velazquez or Johnson this year, but other than that I think he's a reliever at this point.

DSL Royals1 win to keep their three-game lead on the Red Sox1. So with only four games left, magic number is down to two. The Dodgers Bautista did lose today, so the Sox and Astros are tied for second place.
