If Song goes out and dominates, does that change where he starts next year (assuming he's not spending the next two years in the navy)?

8 podcast questions not enough huh? 😉
It's a two-week tournament. They're going to have a larger sample size in spring training alone. I'd peg him for Greenville with a chance for a quick move up.
By the way, two things I just noticed about the coaching staff
1) Red Sox legend Phil Plantier 2) Red Sox pitching coach candidate Bryan Price.

Maybe I'm missing it but I don't see Liu Chih-Jung on the Taiwan roster. I thought he was playing for Taiwan in the Premier 12 Tournament.

Pete Abraham said he was, but I'm not sure I can find a reference to that anywhere before he tweeted it. All of the references to it since seem to quote Abraham directly. Possible that plans changed when he signed. Nice to see Che-hsuan Lin on the Taiwan roster. He's listed as an outfielder - people may remember that he had converted to the mound in the Rangers (I think?) organization.

Haha, yeah, I get bored during the off season, as the football (soccer) season is a game or two a week for 9 months. Thanks - I assumed Greenville, will definitely be the rotation to watch!

I don''t know where it's being played but that's a nice looking stadium.

Chatham just started a nicely turned double play. Chatham is at 2B, Dalbec at 1B.

Houck settled down nicely and has now retired 11 straight. 5Ks now BB thru 4 USA down 2-1 mid 4th. . . . Dalbec led of the 4th with a full count HR to relatively deep center field. It wasn't as good as his HR last game but well hit still.
Game tied 2-2 . . . Houck relieved with runners on 1st and 3rd, 1 out 2-2. 1 run scored (unearned), USA down 3-2 mid 5th. . . . Mexico pouring it on in the 8th. 8-2 now & they are still at bat. Song hasn't pitched. . . . 8-2 final so now it comes down to beating the Dominican tomorrow to continue on.

Idk how his quads didn’t give out on ABs over 5 or 6 pitches.

Only Sox, Dalbec, batting clean-up, for tonight's win or go home game.
I'm guessing Song will see some time.

Early going, Dominican pitcher is having command issues (can't locate his slider) and the USA is teeing off on his fastball. Pitching change, top of the 2nd 2 outs USA up 3-0 . . . 4-2 after 2. The USA starter is a command and control pitcher who threw a few too many fastballs. Announcers have been quite complimentary of Dalbec saying his teammates are quite impressed. His plate discipline has been surprisingly (to me) good the whole tournament. Another USA HR (Payton) and the USA is now up 7-2. This is a power team and they already have 9 HRs in 2 1/3 games. . . . Dalbec with an RBI single "The rave reviews we've heard from the USA dugout will continue." . . . 8-3 after 4. Team USA with some sloppy defense. . . . Pitching meltdown 9-7 1 out bottom of the 5th. . . . 6 up 6 down for the USA pitchers. Still 9-7 after 7. I'll be surprised if Song doesn't come in for the 8th. . . . And Song it is. . . . Song was excellent. Gave up a double on a first pitch slider then struck out the next three. Sitting 95-96 topped out at 97. (lol, had a converter ready). Nice pitch mix, mostly FBs, the last strike was a 76 curve that froze the batter. 15 pitches, 12 strikes.
EDIT: What the twitter feed said about the "WOW". Song out, 10-7 lead for the 9th.
