Looks like the in-game power has kicked in. He could always hit. Interesting 1B/corner OF. Good defender , great arm....and young still. Looks strong in video. Interesting for sure.

Don’t know who this guy is but there’s more to back it up. I’d assume it’s a minor league deal with an invite to spring training, but could it be a major league deal?

He's just reporting on the IG post. He's pretty clear about it. Logically, if it is a MLB deal they'd just announce it. If it's a minor league deal, it'd make sense to wait until after the Rule 5 Draft.

Good news as I've had an irrational fondness for him since I saw him hit the first of his 2 homers for Salem in 2016, in Wilmington (while Beeks was pitching the best game of his life to that date). Completely crushed it to LF. The poster child for the difference between raw and in-game power.

Longhi was another liked a lot from seeing at Ft Myers years ago and was sad when he was sold away. glad he's back. Younger by half dozen years than brentz. maybe he'll stick around several seasons, finally develop some more. liked the line drive swing remember he had all those seasons back.

Longhi had a pretty bad K/BB ratio in AAA last year, and his .180 ISO is actually not great either considering the AAA ball. Statistically he looks like more of an emergency call-up type right now, but he doesn't turn 25 until next August, so it's not THAT much of a fantasy that he could take another step forward and become the next Holt type in terms of value. Stop me if you've heard this before, but it's a nice depth pickup of the type the Red Sox haven't had enough of in recent years.
