In general, I am not a fan of Manfred, but I can actually support these changes. I used to have to write actuarial equations for the government. The permutations and mathematics that can be involved with this new rule have me excited.

They screwed the pooch on the three-batter rule by not adding a necessary clause.
A pitcher has to face three batters minimum, or two if both hitters he faced reached base (via base hit, base on balls, or hit batsman) and he is replaced by a pitcher of the same handedness.
As it stands, if a guy comes in with two men on and the team trailing by one and throws 8 straight balls and looks completely out of synch, you have to leave him in. Which is something few managers would do.
You will see a team lose a game because they had to leave an obviously shaky reliever in to face a 3rd batter, and there will be a fuss. Or, in the above situation, the pitcher's team will have him fake a slight injury, and there will be a fuss.

An injury removal has to be approved by the crew chief. That seems like a disaster waiting to happen in its own right.

Didn't know pitchers were going back to a 15 day IL and position players remain on a 10 day. Also, the team who wants to challenge only has 20 seconds to decide instead of 30. That is a pretty important decision to be made in a short amount of time.
Agree with kman on questioning whether or not a pitcher is really injured.

Good thing they have team folks monitoring all angles of all video to see if a challenge is justified. No way that can go wrong.
