Pac 12 conference semifinal, UCLA wins 25-22. UCLA was losing 21-13 in the 9th inning before scoring 8 in the bottom of the 9th. Oregon State scores 1 in the 10th, then balks in the tying run before allowing a three run bomb. That's PAC 12 baseball baby! Was that the Rose Bowl? (if OSU was Ohio State rather than Oregon St)

NC State had to forfeit the CWS semis last year because of COVID, were left out of the tournament this year (most people think they got screwed), and now their star freshman is transferring. Ouch. Apparently he wants to return to his home state of Florida.

Is there really big NIL money in college baseball? It’s not like this is college football/basketball where the sport generates so much money.

I’ve got no problem with these guys getting NIL deals, not only do they earn it but I think the transfers these days adds an interesting element to college sports
Go get yours kid

NCAA regionals are starting today. Columbia just beat #14 Gonzaga as everyone expected. Tagged potential 2022 first round pick Gabe Hughes for 6 runs.

Damn and he had been pitching well coming into the post season. He'd been scuffling in the WCC conference and just in May in general. He looks worn out, by far his most innings in his career this season. Real concern in my mind whether he can stand up to the rigors of an MLB season.

ECU's Bryson Worrell with the semi Bill Mueller in the Super Regionals. Old, but a legit star in all facets with ECU this year.

Okay, I will attempt to summarize the epic collapse Oklahoma State just executed (game isn't over yet, but whatever) as best I can...
I was watching the Texas A&M win, tuned in to the game with Arkansas down 8-10, but had the bases loaded in the tenth. According to the announcer, they loaded them through a hit and two hit batters off one pitcher. The pitcher proceeds to walk in a run on five pitches, 9-10. Then he walks in another on four straight pitches. Tie game.
No mound visit.
Next batter he hits on the FIRST PITCH. 11-10.
Mound visit, doesn't get pulled.
Next batter, walks in a run again. 12-10 Arkansas at this point.
They finally bring in a new pitcher and on the first at bat it culminates in... well, see the video below for one of the most satisfying contact sounds I've ever heard and an A+ call:

I tuned in right on time for the Stilwarter regional OKST vs Arkansas… 10-8 bases loaded jam no out Nolan McLean coming in (draft prospect as a hitter and pitcher) and he proceeds to not be able to throw strikes 3 BB and a HBP he’s pulled first pitch of the next pitcher boom Grand Slam. 16-10 now.
(Lol I typed this without reading your post great minds think alike.)

Oklahoma State was losing 12-0 at some point today. They are now leading 17-15 in the top of the 8th.

First round prospect and Tennessee right fielder Jordan Beck appears to flip off the Ga Tech squad after tying the game on a (misplayed the ball so bad he never even touched it so we have to give him a) double.

Honeycutt both walks a lot and strikes out a LOT, but he's a freshman with plenty of time to figure it out.

The GT starter(Maxwell) vs Tenn was very impressive. Big dude throwing 98 with a nice hard slider. i looked at his season stats and they werent impressive at all, looks like control issues but when he is on he was excellent.

Former Sox draft pick Nick Lucky (14th round, 2018) with three HRs for Coastal Carolina in regionals. He's had a decent college career.

UNC wins to move on to super-regionals. This is good for the Red Sox because in January, I thought UNC basketball was mediocre and they made it to the NCAA finals. Early on, the Celtics were mediocre and they are in the finals. Two months ago it seemed like UNC baseball was losing half its games, but they got their act together and have had a good run. Next, the Red Sox...

MLB fans have no clue how good they have it with umps. NCAA umpiring is an absolute travesty and egomaniacal wasteland.
