Franchy may make Bloom look geniusy yet.

So it looks like: Eovaldi, Pivetta, Houck, Wacha, Hill Barnes, Brasier, Diekman, Straham, Sawamura, Whitlock, Crawford, Valdez, Garza, Schreiber (assuming Robles isn't ready) Vazquez, Plawecki Dalbec, Story, Bogaerts, Devers, Shaw, Arroyo Verdugo, Hernandez, Bradley, Martinez, Cordero (or perhaps Upton or another RH OF?) Davis and Arauz, not Schreiber and Cordero.
And as I ran down above, a chance they acquire a SS / util who can hit lefties a little. There's no role for an OFer if Arroyo can play there. Incidentally, the tweet here is not appearing at all if you don't have a Twitter account. And occasionally Tweets do appear but only partially. Always a good idea to summarize it in text.
Ah, Davis and Arauz. I knew I was forgetting an established pitcher, but then again Davis is quite forgettable. I guess Arauz makes sense for the short-term if Arroyo will be playing the majority of his time in RF.

He's a young guy so I keep thinking he has a shot at starting on a second division team and needs to play every day in AAA, but given the Sox infield situation I guess they can start grooming him as a potential utility guy, sitting on the bench most of the time. So I guess outfield is something they're looking at for him now as well.

One more crack at this:
Eovaldi, Pivetta, Houck, Wacha, Hill
Barnes, Brasier, Diekman, Straham, Sawamura, Whitlock, Crawford, Valdez, Davis, Danish (looks like Robles isn't ready)
Vazquez, Plawecki
Dalbec, Story, Bogaerts, Devers, Shaw, Arroyo, Arauz
Verdugo, Hernandez, Bradley, Martinez
Looks like Tyler Danish made the team and I suppose Arauz would go to AAA if they did add a RH hitting OF.

I like Aruaz. Great fielder, switch hitter, but Y. Sanchez would have been my choice based on performance. By the same token, I take Franchy rather than Shaw—all things being equal.
I would give up any of the four in favor Upton or another upgrade.
Ultimately, Aruaz has not hit. Shaw has not hit. 40-man issues do come into play so I am not surprised at Aruaz instead of Sanchez, but I am playing *would you rather* in a vacuum.

I guess Arauz makes sense for the short-term if Arroyo will be playing the majority of his time in RF. I am guessing, but to get Shaw on the 40-man roster, Sale would get added to the 60-day DL retroactive to the beginning of spring training. ?? Or is there another move I am missing? Sale was indeed put on the 60-day, but note that it's not retroactive. He'll be eligible to come off around June 4 or 5. I like Aruaz. Great fielder, switch hitter, but Y. It's 100% the 40-man. I can't imagine Refsnyder or Franchy is worth the marginal upgrade over Araúz to make it worth DFA'ing someone to add them. Shaw will get added and probably Garza DFA the day before the season to try and maximize the chances Garza clears. Danish probably DFA when Robles is ready.

Agree with both of those, although May 1, when they have to trim two pitchers and also decided on Holland, is going to be interesting, especially if Taylor is already back (no pun intended, but it's pretty good) or expected soon. I may start a thread on that.
As far as I can tell, Garza's still in camp, ditto Robles, who pitched the 7th today against the Twins (1 1 0 0 1 2).
Chris, do you know the reason why Garza is still in camp, if he's not in their MLB plans?

He's been in minor league camp since they acquired him and is with the WooSox.

Well, we know Danny Santana won't be one of them.

He's been in minor league camp since they acquired him and is with the WooSox. Even if that wasn't made clear by the team, that should be in transactions, then. I take that as inerrant and have used it a lot in the past!

Franchy may make Bloom look geniusy yet. Made some nice contact last night with an RBI knock and a deeeeep fly to CF (to Jacksonville's 420' wall).
The tools are there. He's just got to settle down and learn how to put forth a major league AB five times a game.

If you had Davis, Shaw, Arauz, and Valdez, plus Crawford and Danish, minus Darwinzon -- you win!
tbh, in order to capture that combination -- just two weeks before the opener -- I would've needed to include several more names in the poll (e.g. Schreiber, Robles, Holland, not to mention Crawford and Danish), in addition to dropping Darwinzon and probably Brasier and Sawamura from the locks list.
Put another way, there were about 18 guys competing for the last 8 roster spots less than two weeks before the season started. That's some pretty good depth considering I'm not aware that any guys who didn't make the team have opted out (from among Sanchez, Refsnyder, Holland, Robles, probably a few other RPs). Some probably have additional opt-outs at later dates but for now they all appear to be in the system.
If part of the FO's off-season job is to maximize depth to be prepared for the ups and downs of a 162-game season, I'll give the Sox full marks this year. There are areas where they can get better but there is plenty of depth on hand while they look to do that.
