Don't freak when Rafaela isn't in the lineup today - looks like he left for Los Angeles Don't freak when Rafaela isn't in the lineup today - looks like he left for Los Angeles. He's the next Mookie Betts & was just traded to the Dodgers. For Mookie Betts?

Niko Nuke #22 Promote this man again! Any chance he could get an end of July promotion? To Worcester!

Niko Nuke #22 Promote this man again! It's honestly not a terrible idea, you have to challenge the swing path at some point and if he continues to rake for another three or four weeks I don't see why you wouldn't give him a month in Portland, he's already 23 so it's not like it'd be pushing him too hard age-wise. I'm definitely not in team "this guy is hitting well, let's promote him!" all the time, but for Niko I think being hyper-aggressive makes a lot of sense.

At this point, it's a HR every 6.5 AB, which is a little silly. The isolated discipline is also identical to his time in Salem at .168. The K rate is a little higher than the last time I checked, but still just 24%. So he's a TTO guy with one of the outcomes missing!
All that said, he's 23 which is age advanced for the level and as Hatfield mentioned he's not the only one doing this. But right now he's a man amongst boys. One more reason why he probably isn't long for A+.

I'm usually the one slamming the brakes but if he keeps hitting like this, what's the point?
Give him like 3 more weeks and if he's still doing this then yeah maybe he goes up.

How many players have started their first year in Salem and hit their way all the way to Portland? I can’t imagine it’s many. Even though Kavadas probably could have started the year in Greenville that’s still impressive if it happens.

Would imagine it’s not that uncommon among college relievers, but outside of that yeah not something I’d imagine has happened a lot.

How many players have started their first year in Salem and hit their way all the way to Portland? Not long ago, just about every prospect did that. Seriously though, Kavadas clearly should have started in Greenville. It seems like they are wasting time with him. He has to struggle to get better and he hasn't all year.

The better comp, if you were to go look, might be XST to Low-A to High-A.
Losing an affiliate changed the talent level at each affiliate. As Brian Abraham was talking about on the podcast this week, Low-A is a lot closer to what SS-A used to be. It's not quite an exact comparison, but I think there's something to be said for A-ball not being quite as good as it used to be.

Any chance he could get an end of July promotion? To Worcester! I was thinking Portland. But only if he continues to show advanced hitting for the next two plus weeks.
