Who's on the DO NOT DRAFT list for everyone and why? At 24 I don’t want Beck, Beavers, or Jones. At 41 it would be a totally different story. I think my preferences barring any crazy falls are Delauter, Rocker, Williams, Porter, Hughes, Gilbert, Rushing Graham, Thompson, Melton, Wagner all interest me too although I’d prefer to see if they fall to 41.

Everybody knows Nelson de la Rosa, but who is Karim Garcia?

Is it possible to draft Josh Bell?
It's always BPA. While I'm not as expert on the kids whose names will be called tonight as others who post here, I'd be pleased if the RS see a college bat as the BPA.
I'd like someone who could be a low-cost contributor by 2025 or so. That would make him part of the Casa-MM-Yorke-etc. group of young players who will anchor The Next Great Red Sox Team.

Is it possible to draft Josh Bell? Honestly I dont see Bloom giving up the prospects it would take to even get him as a rental. I think he is more likely to stick to his big picture vision, and probably try and use band aids where surgery is needed,

Ivan Melendez 2nd round would be a decent pick.

It would probably cost very little money to make that market move a ton. That said, odds are that a bunch of $50 max bets or whatever the limit is were placed from people in the Atlanta area with a connection to the Johnson family.
You used to be able to spoil WWF pay per views because there were gambling markets for the matches and the odds would overwhelmingly shift right before the show as I guess a few people couldn't resist the $250 payday.

Just had to answer my own question: Sox' first pick shortly after 8? So it's 3 minutes between picks in Round 1, 2 minutes picks 33-39, 1 minute Round 2: "If you’re wondering how long it will take until the_____ make their one selection of the day, here are the times allowed between picks: First round & compensation picks (picks 1-32): 3 minutes between picks Competitive Balance Round A (picks 33-39): 2 minutes between picks Round 2 & Competitive Balance Round B (picks 40-80): 1 minute between picks" www.truebluela.com/mlb-draft/2022/7/17/23238389/mlb-draft-2022-schedule-first-round-television-espn-mlb-network

Imagine our farm team if we draft well tonight AND sell at the deadline.

Starting to think Snelling might be available at 41.
If Chaim & Co., agree, I'd want them to consider Drew Thorpe at 24. 6'4" 205# 20-yo Cal Poly righty with "arguably the best command in the draft" per Longenhagen. Should be able to grow into more velo with pro coaching.
At 79, I can't resist GA prep RHP Sam Horn, who might have the highest ceiling FB on the board. He's another American football QB who won the GA state championship and could be tough to sign away from playing QB at Mizzou. And who knows, he might be the real SOSH!

The Red Sox should take Druw Jones if he's available. I’d sign his dad for rest of year I heard he’s out for the year with an oblique strain after reading your post.

Insane what people will bet on. Also, anyone betting more than $10 on the MLB draft probably is either filthy rich, someone with solid inside information or a complete gambling addict.

Just a flashback video while we wait. Currently hitting .237/.310/.342 in Greenville (which, for those who've not visited, is a great ballyard in a lovely small city).
