Rafaela contines to hit for power with a double an a bomb. The HR came off Phillies top pitching prospect Mick Abel.

Franchy coming up is to play 1st as it appears Hosmer is hurt, not for Duran. Although Duran is regressing. Castig never criticizes the Sox players, but he was ready to lose it on Duran on his lazy throw to Xander today. Maybe on paper but I think more Dalbec/Franchy than Franchy/Duran for actual playing time.

Pretty wild how pretty much nobody talks about Gilberto Jimenez anymore. Like, at all.

Last year the first thing I did when I went to the boxscores was to check on Yorke’s night. Now the last thing I do before exiting is to check Yorke’s boxscore. Just a tough run night after night. Disappointing strike out numbers as well. I thought he was an elite bat to ball guy.

I'm sure that more experienced watchers can say more, but he's been late on a number of pitches, especially tonight. Did have a nice potential line drive single robbed by the CF though.

He should stop trying to hit righty imo LHP has chewed him up the last couple of years He should stop trying to hit every pitch. Kid swings at everything. I saw him when he was with Lowell and he looked spectacular, faster than Duran, in my opinion and he hit everything hard and to the gaps, line drives. He had a triple and a double that game and I was sure he was on a fast track. Antoni Flores also wowed me, played like a man among boys. Some other kid came in as a defensive replacement. A skinny, little 2nd baseman and I remember joking about how scrawny he looked and how the wind seemed to blow him around the infield... His name was Ceddanne Rafaela. I'll never be a scout

Lugo saw he was outside the top 20 on this site and took it personal 😂

Castig never criticizes the Sox players, but he was ready to lose it on Duran on his lazy throw to Xander today. Cora suggested that Hosmer would miss 1 game (tonight). And if he's out, Dalbec is the backup.
I wonder if we might see Franchy get some time at DH.

Some folks are citing Casas' excellent numbers since he returned to AAA, but those include a 2/20, 1 BB, 1 SF, 7 SO in his first 5 games.
Since then he's .319 / .437 / .569 in 20 G / 84 PA, with 14 BB and 17 SO.
