Either Pat Light or Brian Johnson will follow Morales. Johnson had his last start skipped, so it's tough to figure out where he's going to fall in the rotation.

Two errors by SS and 3B didn't help him.

Two errors by SS and 3B didn't help him. Only one of the errors (Natoli) cost a run. The first two runs scored on a double, following single and BB. Jacobs' bloop double led to a second Salem run. Now 3-2 Nats.

Workman through 5 innings 3 hits 8 / 0 His strikeout ratio is impressive. 7 innings, 4 hits, no walks, 9 k's. At what point do we need to consider that he may have more than middle relief potential at the major league level?

Have to be pleased by the pitching performances today (other than Light). Doyle is actually situating himself as a viable candidate to help someone, and what can you say about Workman. The pitching from top to bottom gets me excited!

Most interesting note from that link was that all the scouts in attendance agreed that Pete Ruiz has a future as major league reliever. Nice development over the years from Ruiz.

FWIW, this is not from last night's game. Workman was followed by Chris Martin last night. This is from his start on April 11.
