Nah, it looks like a grill Lmao every Midwest franchise in any sport has no sense of the word sleek when it comes to the architecture of new stadiums. It’s just chunky, clunky, high tech stuff with zero personality/warmth.

Gotta think a trade of one of their outfielders is coming next. I've been thinking the Jays are gearing up to trade Jensen for Alek Thomas. I'm not really crazy about that.

If you're gonna bother to post a paywalled article, maybe pull a paragraph to let us know what it says? Basically the Yankees, Mets and Astros are being investigated for improper comments regarding Judge and Verlander. Historically this has resulted in large awards to the player if it can be shown that their bargaining position was hurt by the comments which, in these cases, seems likely. Cases are decided by an arbitrator, not MLB, so the Yankees have no inside edge here. It's basically up to the players union if they want to persue it. Awards are treble damages.

Here is why there's arbitration; /photo/1 Seems like a stretch to think there's collusion here. Mets saying they aren't going after Judge? Astros saying Verlander wants big money? And when they sign massive contracts, what jury is ever going to sympathize with them saying they were financially impacted by collusion. Once again, the MLBPA showing that they care more about their top 1% rather than their average member.

Once again, the MLBPA showing that they care more about their top 1% rather than their average member. I'll have to disagree here. In the Verlander case discussing what a player is looking for is specifically prohibbited. You never see teams giving out that information, it's always unidentifiead sources or speculation. The Astros owner pretty clearly violated that when he said he wants similar to Scherzer. That statement could easily sway a team from not even talking to him. In the Mets/Yankees, if it looks like fish, tastes like fish, and smells fishy, it's probably fish. That's why the emails and phone transcripts are going to be reviewed.Im sure the players union will be looking closely. It's not a jury, it's an arbitrator. 1 person.

Yeah, Senga met with the Mets brass. That doesn't mean they signed him. He'll be meeting with a number of teams.

Twins trade Gio Urshela (about to make $9 million in last arb year) to the Angels and get back a 19 y/o Low-A arm ranked 18th in a bad system
Gio getting disrespected in the trade market

I'm all set on Judge for that price. Over how many years? I don't expect Judge to become Chris Davis. He has over 50 HRs before so while 2022 is a peak season he's still a great offensive player when not hitting 62 HRs. He's deceptively decent in the outfield and can be a monster at DH which would save some wear and tear. I thought coming off the year he did he might top Mookie's and Trout's contract. He just might if the Giants or Dodgers top the 337 million figure and precipitates a bidding war.

The Brewers literally got Junk for Renfroe (along with 2 others of insignificance).

Sounds like Renfroe was a pure salary dump and that Wong will be next.
