Another hit for Cecchini. Two walks and two hits on the day in four plate appearances.

cmf, Kyle Stroup allowed 9 hits. Was he hit hard or just unlucky? Stroup gave up 7 singles. Nothing was hit really hard, just hits that fell in or got between the infielders.

Sean Coyle just did something I've never seen in a baseball game. He ran from behind 2B to catch a pop up in foul territory behind 1B and then ran up on the rolled up tarp and proceeded to fall onto the railing. I hope he was wearing his cup, it looked like something from the show Jackass. He popped up pretty quickly and seemed ok. His teammates and the crowd gave him a standing ovation.

Coyle is on a mission this year. And that is exactly where he needs to be. I just don't want to see him go all Kalish on us and hustle so much he starts getting significant injuries over and over. Every real prospect needs to not risk his body TOO much. It's not worth it.
BUT I want to see Sean go freaking crazy out there! You can do it!
ps. I'm not recomending Sean go "freaking", which in my day meant running across the field naked. I just want to see a focused, high effort level dedication. He has the intensity within him. He needs a Pedroia pill.

Salem with the walk off win in the 9th, KDLC with the game winning hit. Cecchini made two throws (low and high) to 1B tonight that pulled Garcia off the bag. His fielding looked good though. Why is Garcia playing 1B?

When will the Kyle Kaminska experiment end? I'd rather see Couch getting the starts. Post of the year. I've been firmly aboard the Couch bandwagon for quite some time and at last I can see it's getting crowded in here due to his all around awesomeness. Oh, and guess who has an OPS north of .800! It rhymes with Gogaerts.

I am not new to the Couch bandwagon. But you can drive it. I'll be ok with shotgun.
I also think Jason Garcia doesn't get enough love. Pete Ruiz is another guy that keeps developing - he'll pitch in Boston one day (unless he's traded).

Almanzar with another solid game. 2-for-5 with a 2B and 2 RBI

Why is Garcia playing 1B? Because why not. Not being flippant or judging the question, it's just that it may as well be him as Renfroe or anyone else. No backup 1B on the roster, so it's Garcia.

How is it that the short, up the middle defender leads the system in IsoP? Sean Coyle up to .405 IsoP after tonight. 57.1 XBH%.
Is he going to fill out too much or will he be able to stay at second? Could he be a candidate to move to third at some point?

Could he be a candidate to move to third at some point? Don't think the arm is there for third. I think it's pretty much second or bust with him, but from all accounts seems like he'll be able to handle the position short- and long-term
