Tmobile is signed up to provide MLBTV through 2028 for free to all subscribers. Does this include the MLb network? I’m a YouTube TV person and they cut it out before last season. I don't think so. It carries the home and away TV feeds for games that aren't blacked out (i.e. out-of-market games that aren't nationally televised). It also gives you the home and away radio feeds for every game, so you can fall back to that when there are blackouts; no need to resort to one of the various potential non-sanctioned workarounds to watch anyway.
Edit: And it also lets you use the radio feed for audio while watching the video feed. I use that feature heavily on non-Mike-Monaco nights.

My sister in law has T Mobile so I could probably use this. Would most games be blacked out if I live in CT?

Question for the T-Mobile folks: do you have to watch the games on your phone or can you cast onto the tv?

The app uses your location to tell which teams are blacked out, so it will change if you are traveling/move into another team’s territory.

It does give you some access to MLB TV programming, like some of the recorded specials etc, just not the live network shows.

… Was my comment about using a VPN deleted?
If you’re already paying for MLB.TV, it’s legal and above-board.

I use Fubo as my main source for TV. $80/mo which includes any channel I could think of including NESN I just junked the cable portion of my Comcast / Xfinity with the intent of switching to Fubo a few days before the Oscars. I believe they have the Sox in 4K, and I have the gear to use it. It'll save me $60 a month, too.

… Was my comment about using a VPN deleted? If you’re already paying for MLB.TV, it’s legal and above-board. Mine was as well... VPNs are perfectly legal, but they are against the MLB.TV terms of service. I see no problem with explaining that this option exists, provided people know that they could lose access to the service and/or be subject to fees if MLB is feeling grouchy. "IF YOU CIRCUMVENT, OR ATTEMPT TO CIRCUMVENT, ANY HOME TELEVISION TERRITORY (HTT) BLACKOUT RESTRICTION OR OTHER USE RESTRICTION: YOUR SUBSCRIPTION WILL BE SUBJECT TO IMMEDIATE TERMINATION AND A CHARGE OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) FOR EARLY TERMINATION; YOU MAY BE SUBJECT TO LEGAL ACTION; AND MLB RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REPORT SUCH MISCONDUCT TO APPROPRIATE LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITIES." The "I'll get u banned - my dad works at Xbox!" of legalese. There are no "appropriate law enforcement authorities" for this. They could certainly terminate your subscription and charge a fee, but realistically they don't have a lot of incentive to do that.

FWIW I asked T-Mobile and they said the MLB.TV deal will work for both cellular and 5G home internet customers.

Yep! We just did 3rd year in a row. This is good to know. Might you walk us through the procedure (ie, does the sign-up have to originate at MLBPAA site? If not, is there any trick at MLB.com to applying for your discount? If I'm reading everything correctly a $25 contribution would discount a $159.99 annual charge to $80, so a $55 savings? Does it also work for monthly? UPDATE: This no longer applies for new members, only renewals. IMPORTANT NOTE: MLB.TV 50% discount applies to 2024 season for renewing MLBPAA members only (not applicable to new fan memberships). Renewing members will receive information to redeem one unique code provided during the calendar year upon renewal. Available while supplies last.

And mlb.tv is covered by T-Mobile with most of their mobile subscription packages. At least it was last year. I'm not sure it is covered by t mobile this year I saw something about a mgenta package or something. I'll keep an eye out closer to the he season though Yes the offer through t mobile works this year I just redeemed my offer.

FYI if you're considering this or figuring how you can take advantage somehow -
** While today is the first day you can redeem this offer, you can't just do it whenever you want through the season. Apparently this offer ends April 2nd.
