It was off an 89 mph change? (Albright fastball was 92-94) that didn't move at all. It was a no doubter. Hitting off McGowan in the 9th, he was late on a fastball, grounding it just inside the first base line for a bases clearing double. McGowan was 95-97 with no control tonight. Roman waited on an inside curve in the 3rd, lining it up the middle for an RBI single. Yorke's single was off a 99 mph fastball from Hill that he grounded up the middle. Mayer also lined a Hill fastball up the middle but it deflected off his calf to the shortstop for a 1-6-3 out. Paulino didn't have a good night at the plate but looked good defensively tonight playing 2nd. If Sikes is only an organizational player, he is a good one. He saved Coffey from a big inning in the first cutting down Amador going first to third with an impressive one hop throw from a standing position. Had a stolen base and moves well in the outfield. Troye had a highlight play behind the back grab around his knees on a Veen comebacker for the first out in the 7th, but things fell apart quickly after that. In the stadium bathroom's, you get the radio broadcast of the game. When I was in there, the announcer talked about a ranking (by MLB?) of the top minor league teams. He said the Orioles Norfolk Tides were first and Portland was second.
