That shot went out in a hurry. Pulled over the right field wall.

Casas hit an identical one in Hartford a couple of years back. I was sitting right under where both balls went out.

Penrod with his first bad outing - couldn't get out of the 3rd.

Switched over to AA to watch Penrod get some work in.
He was thru 2.1 ip scoreless at that time.
He just left after 2.2 ip, 4 er and 2 runners on base.
Fell apart at the seams. As soon as I started watching.
I feel somewhat responsible.

Mayer with a double. He's now a triple short of the cycle in the 4th inning.

Mayer with a double. He's now a triple short of the cycle in the 4th inning. I think Marcelo will be the first of the big 3 to see Worcester, potentially by June.

Big dip in K% for Yorke so far this year. If the loud contact comes and the K rate stays lower, that’s a pretty big deal IMO

Anthony has 700+ feet of fly outs oppo tonight One the left fielder caught up against the wall and the other went to the cf warning track in front of the 362 sign. He finally got one to fall in on his fourth at bat, lining a fastball in front of the left fielder. It looks like a great swing for Fenway. With so many videos posted (which I always appreciate) and others watching on milb, I don't know l have a lot to add, but I'll try. I wasn't planning on going tonight but when I saw Penrod was pitching, I decided to go. As you can tell from the numbers, it wasn't a good night. I counted 6 swings and misses but only one on the fastball, which sat 92-94, touching 96. The others looked like they were on the 86-87 slider. Olds had a very nice sixth striking out the side swinging with his 89-90 slider. Also showed a 96-98 fastball. Van Scoyoc was 92-94, touching 95 once on the pitch Yorke launched into the right field upper deck. He also lined a single up the middle on a 97 mph fastball in the seventh. He has handled velocity well this week. In the eighth, Decker connected on Mejia's 100 mph fastball skying a fly to right that just cleared the high wall. With the win, Portland regains the division lead over Hartford. The Yard Goats program had pitching probables through Saturday listing Olivarez, Dobbins, and Angel B which must mean Wikelman on Sunday. A better test for the Portland bats tomorrow with Colorado's number 15 prospect Palmquist scheduled.
