"Twins opting for McGuire" -- Is McGuire really that good? Would we prefer him over Blake Swihart, for example?

Someone earlier tweeted to Callis his preposterously accurate 2005 mock: www.baseballamerica.com/today/draft/mock-draft/2005/26510.htmlI thought of this during the Callis-Law podcast when Law was saying that NOBODY can get them all right and missed a chance to mention Callis in 2005. If Callis were more like Law he would have brought it up himself.

The only scenario I could see changing who the Red Sox have available is Moran at 1-1. It would mean that Stewart could make it or that they'll pick between the Georgia HS OFs.

Well, 65 pages of discussion over that last 9-10 months and we are finally here. I am anxious to find out who we end up with.
My preference:
1) Clint Frazier 2) Kohl Stewart 3) Austin Meadows 4) Colin Moran Darkhouse: Dominic Smith
I won't complain about any of them

RT @thekapman Some buzz around baseball that the Cubs are leaning to Kris Bryant over taking a pitcher. What would you do?

If Bryant were to go #2 to the Cubs.. that would almost certainly force Colorado to go to their second option - Dominic Smith.
1 - Appel 2 - Bryant 3 - Smith 4 - Gray 5 - Moran 6 - Meadows/Shipley 7 - Stewart/Frazier
Get ready.. this should be lots of fun!

There is a live stream coming from mlb.com. No cable sub required. They are currently interviewing the players which is quite interesting.

Is Stewart going to be as big an injury risk as people say? Someone tell me he's not Mark Prior 2.0

From Jason Parks
-After checking w/ a few sources, I'm not sold on the rumors that the Astros are serious about Kohl Stewart for 1:1.
-I keep hearing that they aren't down to anyone. Perhaps they should go ahead and narrow the list.

Kaminsky might go to Marlins at 6 It wouldn't be a terrible pick, especially with a below-slot deal. I've heard him mentioned in the mid teens today, with the Bickford/Clarkin group.

His dad is a high profile lawyer who knows Loria. Loria was at one of his starts in April/May. Then got call earlier today that there is good chance he goes there. Take it for what it's worth.

Callis with a late re-do of his "final" mock - big change at #6: www.baseballamerica.com/draft/mock-draft-4-1-one-more-last-chance/Excerpt: 1. Astros: Gray over Appel 2. Cubs: Appel over Bryant (would strongly consider Gray) 3. Rockies: Bryant over Smith (would strongly consider Gray, Appel) 4. Twins: Stewart over McGuire (would strongly consider Big Three) 5. Indians: Moran over Frazier (would strongly consider Big Three) 6. Marlins: Meadows over Shipley 7. Red Sox: Frazier over Meadows (would strongly consider Stewart) 8. Royals: Shipley over Bickford (would strongly consider Stewart) 9. Pirates: McGuire over Peterson (would strongly consider Meadows) 10. Blue Jays: Ball over J.P. Crawford (would strongly consider Frazier)

It's finally that time of the year again: the time of the year when we test our love for baseball and the Red Sox by subjecting ourselves to the insufferable "analysis" of Harold Reynolds.
