O'Neil is yoaked. I'm stunned he's never failed a test. If he starts doing math problems during pre game interviews that might be must see tv. Insert Scott Steiner joke here. None of the ones I had wrote quite right.

I like it when the podcast description says things like "Players discussed include Roman Anthony, Marcelo Mayer, Yoeilin Cespedes, Richard Fitts, Franklin Arias, Blake Wehunt and more!" Both makes me want to listen, and also helps when they say a guy's name once and then talk about him for five minutes, saying "he" and "his" and never saying his name again. FYI, this is pretty much an issue for any podcast. As a listener I have the same frustration sometimes, but note that it's very hard to get into the habit of saying a guy's name over and over again. Time stamps could help but that could be too much to ask on a production end

And mlb.tv is covered by T-Mobile with most of their mobile subscription packages. At least it was last year. I'm not sure it is covered by t mobile this year I saw something about a mgenta package or something. I'll keep an eye out closer to the he season though Yes the offer through t mobile works this year I just redeemed my offer.

Personally my dream would be a 5th starter pinch runner combo. 3 days available off the bench to run one day to pitch. Might be too risky with a starter. *cough*Steven*cough*Wright*cough* I personally believe that if a guy can't successfully run 90 ft then he might not be the guy you want to employ as a pinch runner.

Regarding Song, remember that we don't even know when he's coming back to baseball, if ever. The Phillies will put him on the MLB restricted list, where he'll accrue service time. When he returns, HE'LL HAVE TO GO STRAIGHT TO MLB AFTER NOT PITCHING IN MORE THAN 3 YEARS. No rehab assignment. Nothing. Right to MLB despite having zero full-season-level experience. If he comes back anytime after the are 90 days left in the season, he'll need to get 90 days in MLB before he can be sent down. At that point you're just continuing to push the timeline back. The chances of this working out for the Phillies are SO remote that I'm failing to see this as anything but a dick move that isn't in Song's best interests at ALL. Is there a way that the Red Sox could trade the rule 5 stip off of Song so perhaps he can be sent to the minors without being absolutely ruined?

Lol, what contact? Ke'Bryan's or the Santana deal that was just signed a couple days ago Yeah, Pitt doesn't have a bad contract to eat. Maybe get a third team involved. What if the Red Sox send another team a prospect for a bad contract and the send the return to Pittsburgh.

Along with offering the QO to Nate, I'd do the same with Wacha. He performed very well and will likely get a significant raise in 2023, so lets try and lock him up early. If Sale pulls a Verlander and Bello is for real now, the rotation outlook changes. Sale Nate Wacha Bello Pivetta This leaves Houk and Whitlock in the bullpen, with Schrieber, to fill roles that are now more important than ever. Crawford, Winkowski, Seabold are healthy young arms that can be re purposed for bullpen roles as well. Barnes still in the mix. Mata looks ready to assert himself as well. Personally believe that rotation needs another starter even if you put Whitlock in it too. So maybe resign Hill or find another candidate or both.

Ryan Brasier has gotten a lot of hate this year, but he has the lowest xFIP of his career. He's getting a second arb pay day from us Sell him to Oakland in the off season. Tell them take care of him and flip him in July.

I think Im on board with whoever said that the first $125k for all picks are locked in and cant save more than that... its weird for a 10th rounder to get $7,500 and an 11th rounder to get 125,000. They should just say the first 125,000 doesn't count towards slot for everyone

Y'all, the answers to the questions some of you are looking for are earlier in this thread. Just find the Capital Gazette links. Give a man a fish he will eat for a day. Teach him in fish he will eat forever.

what does a jbj for hosmer & myers trade look like for the sox? it would leave us still ok tax wise, right? Not exactly sure how that helps the Red Sox at all Buying prospects maybe?

In the immortal words of Arn Anderson, I'm not one to toot my own horn, but toot toot... I realized today that last week we hit 500,000 downloads of the podcast (at least that's what LibSyn tells me, so I'm rolling with it). Just wanted to say thanks to all of you who listen, to my fellow hosts, to Joe Tetreault for producing for many years, and our guests. It's been a fun ride. Also, we dropped the newest episode today so go listen. Congrats guys I always enjoy the pod. I think Arn Anderson goes by Armed Anderson now but I always enjoy the wrestling shout outs. Btw I miss when Kevin Steen was in the org. Keep the pods coming thank you.

Perhaps someone already put the figures out there but assuming the sox don't non tender anyone and these arbitration projections are correct. Where would that leave the sox in terms of payroll going into free agency? These numbers seem to be in redSoxpayroll on twitters spreadsheet and he has them at 178.75 million.
