Hey all,
It’s that time of year where we ask that you cast your vote for the shortstop in the Red Sox minor league system that you believe will have the best 2014 season. Keep in mind that you are voting with respect to who you predict will be perform the best on the field, not who you consider to be the best prospect. As per usual, each player is only eligible for one position and thus will not appear on multiple polls.
Note that this poll will close on March 17. We look forward to seeing your votes!
Best, Matt

Don't anticipate Bogaerts playing in the minors this year so its hard to vote for him as the preseason top minor league SS.

FWIW, I don't read the rules to necessarily require that the "best season" occur in the minors. I think the word "minor leaguer" is used there more in place of "not already an established big leaguer."
That said, I'm not saying your reading is definitely wrong.

The way I read it is that if he's listed in the poll, he's eligible.
