Yeah. Just came to report the same thing. Looks like Hoffman got Garcia's scouting report and for some reason Garcia's page has the scouting report of Antony Alvarado, who apparently pitched 2 innings in the DSL a decade ago. Haha im not going crazy then. Lets hope that he has a little more baseball in him than Alvarado's two whole innings.

I think between work Mike and I did today this should all be corrected. You might need to refresh the player's page after going back to it.
Also added older college stats to the players who had them.

So we were told that Cardoso retired. He had played in the Tricky League and Fall Instructs in 2017 but went back to Europe for the last two years due for non-baseball reasons. It turned out he was placed on the restricted list and we understand that he was eventually going to come back to the U.S. this year, at least pre-COVID. My guess is that plan gets thrown into disarray now. Anyway, yeah, not retired. We probably need to update his page.

For new acquisition Grullon, his scouting profile under hit has "quite approach" which I assumed was meant to be quiet.

Nick Pivetta is now under Sox control for 4 more years. On the 40 man page, he has 3 arb years then free agency.

Attn Mike Andrews. My name is Kevin and I want to do some statistical analysis of the Home Field Advantage in minor league baseball. Studies have been done about the HFA in the MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL and major Div. 1 men's sports but never for minor league baseball. Trying to deal with the customer service numbers for www.mlb.com and www.milb.com has been a very unfruitful experience. The milb.com site does not give historical Standings splits but I was able to get some Standings splits from various team media guides but not consistently! Boy was I so happy that I found your site. I see that your current site does have Home/Away splits for various affiliated minor leagues and I was able to get historical Splits for the 2005-2012 period from the way back machine from this site. However in many cases the team over all and home splits were slightly different then what I had acquired from other sources. In some cases your standings have more games so that suggests that you are counting exhibition games that other mainstream baseball sites don't count. Or perhaps you are counting forfeited games that other sited don't count. In a few cases some teams had fewer games than other sites. I send a lengthy email to the info@ email address on 9/15/20 and got no response. I send a 2nd email to Chris Hatfield on 9/20/20 and got no response. I send an email to Mike Reynolds on 9/25/20 and got no response. I send an email to Ian Cundall on 9/29/20 and got no response. I want you to check the differences between this site's overall standings (and Home/Away splits) for certain teams and certain years where I found differences. I can list each team with the differences on this forum or I can try sending a private email but I don't want to anymore unless you are interested in explaining/correcting these differences. I also noticed that you do list some Fall & Winter league Red Sox prospects but you don't give any standings and attendance information for these leagues. So I also would like to know more about your historical team standings (with splits) databases. How far back do you go?? So can I email you these differences or post them here on this forum? Thanks Mike for help with this! Btw, I am a Red Sox fan so I'll discuss prospects issues/questions after I get these questions answered first!

Hi Kevin - send me a direct message with your email address, as your email above didn't reach me. I believe you can still grab back to 2005 from MLB.com with a Python script. You might also be able to get what you need from here: www.minorleaguesplits.com/x_milb/

Brainer Bonaci just posted an instagram of himself at 188. His scouting report says 140 and notes he's probably much bigger.

Not sure where this belongs, but 27 players: 14 pitchers & 13 position players are listed for the major-league level in the 2021 projected rosters. The roster limit is 26. Who goes? An interesting choice: a pitcher or a position player?

Hmm Austin Brice's description is that of a Venezuelan named Alvarado from the 2000s Young Venezuelan pitcher with an impressive arm. Originally slated to skip the DSL and head right to the GCL in 2007, Alvarado missed the entire season with arm problems. www.soxprospects.com/players/brice-austin.htm

Is there a link to it, or have you just figured out our page-naming convention?

Is there a link to it, or have you just figured out our page-naming convention? I think I googled him and one link was to that page. I don't think I typed his name backwards. But I see above on this page that someone else used to default to Alvarado. Just a mystery.

It's not a mystery. We started a page for him and never finished it and it was inadvertently published. I was just curious how you found it was all.
Every player page on our website is soxprospects.com/player/(last name)-(first name).htm. I use that to go directly to pages all the time. Just didn't know if you similarly used that.
Anyway, appreciate the heads up!

Don't see Tate Matheny in your projections anywhere. Has he been released?

In the depth chart, the inclusion of Martin Perez would make the list of starting pitchers look a little stronger...

Don't see Tate Matheny in your projections anywhere. Has he been released? Nope. I think he was just a casualty of our having to add an alt site. Thanks.

The stats link on Shane Drohan’s page links to Jeremy Wu-Yelland’s instead.
