Mauricio Dobon's page notes that he would be the first native of Honduras to make the majors. I'm not sure what that means, but Gerald Young was born on October 22, 1964 in Tela, Honduras. He was the first player born in Honduras to make the majors.

The 40 man roster is not up to date.
The links for those playing winter ball (Stats) do not work. At least Elias does not.

Ah, my bad on the links. just get rid of the whole "players" part of the URL - it's just supposed to be linking to www.soxprospects.com/fall-winter.htmWhat do you think isn't up to date on the 40-man? Have you refreshed the page? Note that we don't remove free agents until they sign elsewhere, so the free agents have "FA" next to them and are still there. |

OK, I'm in nit picking mode. Luis Ysla is apparently with Portland now but the last transaction shows him being optioned to Pawtucket on 3/17.

Don't know if you could do this without a big rework effort but just wanted to put it out there. On the stats page could you make stats sortable by ascending and descending order? For example, if you want to sort players by BB/9, it's going to show you the worst performers at the top, you can't reverse that to show the best at the top, all you can do is scroll to the last player and work your way up.

This isn't really a correction, and perhaps it should have been a separate thread, but I wonder to what extent the site could make use of the accents on the names of many players of Spanish-speaking heritage. I'm struck--and delighted!--that the PawSox saluted Héctor Velázquez in a tweet last night. And at the same time I have to acknowledge that I can't always do so--heck, Smugmug won't even allow the hyphen in Tzu-wei Lin's name--and that I have resigned myself to the general electronic loss of the apostrophe in my own last name. So I'm not sure how it would work in databases, for example. But I'd love to see it in write-ups and on player pages when we have a source for the correct spelling.
