As if there wasn't enough interesting things to notice, Mookie has a stolen base attempt in 6 consecutive games. He's 5-2 including the over slide four games ago.

Mookie led off with a bloop single and scored on a liner double to right by Shaw (his fifth double in this series). Second inning, Mookie lined a hard RBI single up the middle. Not sure how he got to second but it isn't as the box shows (advanced on Marrero walk). He was already at second when Marrero walked.
Webster looking as good as his line, looking nasty when he gets ahead in the count. Ramos is 2/2 with a double. I also saw Nava with a complete AB without swinging and missing once (5 pitch walk). Mookie and Shaw 2/3 now.
McCarthy had to work out of a jam but tonight, he's been a strike throwing machine. Box above corrected. Mookie advanced on a balk. Ramos 3/3 and is now hitting above 300 as well.
Ramos now 4/4. Mookie and Shaw now 2/4. Diaz and Callahan with nice starts so far. Was listening to Salem for a while but Lepler is doing something on weekends and the replacement announcer didn't call any pitches. Either way, Diaz and Callahan both with low hit starts.
Portland won, Betts ended up 2/5 and made some nice defensive plays. Ramirez(twice) and Celestino had to work themselves out of jams.
The wheels fell off for Diaz in the sixth. Stroup in relief.

E: Marrero (1, fielding)
Deven Marrero with his FIRST error this year! With the improvements with his bat, this kid is looking more and more like a future big-leaguer. Solid range, strong arm, and makes all of the plays...he may be our shortstop in a couple of years. Finally showing some pop.

Solid effort from Webster today. 83 pitches after 6 full innings. Like to see him come back out and complete the 7th.
