I think the 5/28 game is at Fenway (part of a 2 game, home-and-home series).

To the Nam vets, it sucks that we're playing Hanoi Hannah's favorite team on Memorial Day. In a perfect world, she'll show up and fall off a balcony on national TV.

Ben and perhaps Hazen went to Atlanta. Is this unusual with the draft less than two weeks away? Some suggests a trade could be brewing, but they just may want to get a better sense of the team. It is an off-day anywhoo.

It is an off-day anywhoo. Well when the team is amidst a 10 games losing streak they have to be there to see up close what is going on I guess.

I just hope whatever has to happen to make Ben realize that we shouldn't trade for Ethier, happens.

The front office is almost certainly going to stick with the current roster until July. If they're still more than a few games below .500 at that point, they can trade away non-essential pieces. If they're .500ish, they probably hold the course and see if the current roster can produce some magic down the stretch. And if by some miracle they're just a few games out, maybe they become buyers.

It is an off-day anywhoo. I know they spent some time in Alabama at the SEC Tourney so it could just be a quick trip.

Gomes in lineup vs. RHP. Nava out. I guess they don't actually think Nava is ready to be back in the majors, they just didn't have anyone else to call up.

What trade chips do they have that can bring something in return that they need? Can't put Lester in that category, unless you bag it and go after prospects. Probably correcto, just minor moves, if any, and hope for good health and maybe brain transplants for two pitchers and a robotic arm for another. (Can't see them trading prospects, as they do not have many of worth, and those they do have, they need.)

While giving an interview claiming the famed picture of her sitting on a flak gun was unintentional outside of Hanoi and not her fault, or of her own choice.. Hard to think of 2 people ever deserved each other more than Ted Turner and Fonda did, then maybe 2 lefty radicals can't get along so well after all?

And Gomes (and his 30.6% k-rate and 73 wRC+ vs. RHP + crap defense) is a better option? Maybe Farrell was influenced by Gomes 2 HR vs. Santana (.167 avg)? Nava better be in there the next two games against Harang and Floyd. Gomes has demonstrated throughout his career that he's a below average hitter vs. lefties -- Nava had three real rough weeks, went to AAA, and hit RHP just fine (.816 OPS, .279 BABIP, 17.4 K%, 14.5 BB%). Come on, now.

Come on. The comparison game can be senseless. The question is what prospects can help this team? Do we have any outfielders, any pitchers that are ready, a catcher, third baseman ( other than X-Man and can't take Cecchini seriously ) . We get too excited too quickly and tend to overrate many prospects.

It's not just us rating prospects, it's everyone in baseball that has our system in the top 5.
