Are we sure they have the right Luis Basabe ? The one that is in the boxes is listed at our site as a second baseman but the one that is playing is playing CF which is what the other one plays. Either way, unusual start: .500/.400/1.000/1.400. He must have a lot of sac flies. Welch has two triples tonight. He's been hot since Shaw was promoted and he's in the lineup everyday. Portland up 5-2 in the eighth. Didn't happen to notice that he has that line because he has only one game on it huh? Lol. Yeah, they almost certainly put the wrong one in the box score.

They did it the other day too and then fix it. If a Basabe is playing CF it's Alexander.
Btw Alexander is off to a fine start.

I'm wondering if there will be ML scouts at Portland today. Cost controlled lefties are always a valuable commodity. Good pic of Asuaje (unknown photog - EJarinco tweet: Kid looks light on his feet like he's gliding on air.

Justin Haley has been outstanding this season. Yes not a bad 6th round pick under the new bonus pool system after signing for $125,000. Has a chance to elevate the 2012 draft in addition to Marrero and Johnson.

Has a chance to elevate the 2012 draft in addition to Marrero and Johnson. The book says "Needs to improve command and control". He's done just that. Last year 1.68 K/BB this year 2.875. Another Salem pitcher having an excellent year is Littrell. It's not as obvious because of one outing where his manager left him in for a bloodbath. Otherwise, solid but somewhat fluctuating numbers.

My brain can only handle one deviant situation at a time but this wasn't the first time, so I wasn't looking.
