So I guess we made it to the A's bullpen starting in the 5th.

It was the game from the night before and the actual score in the 14th was 11 to 10... but a heck of an error there anyway.

I remember reading game stories after a particular Doubront start vs the Yankees and the talk about how similar he looks to Pettite in his delivery. The movement really is striking but it seems Pettite just has better body control. Felix's front foot seems to drop in a new place with every throw, which I'm sure has a lot to do with his control, arm strength aside.

How about Nava for Gomes here. Oh wait - Farrell. Forget it.

The AJP experience is just so frustrating, and not many stats point to him being a worthwhile starting C at this point, be it traditional statistics or advanced ones
Thrilled that Swihart is playing well, albeit still another year probably from Fenway, but being stuck with AJP right now hampers this lineup, which can't afford to get below average offensive & defensive production from the catcher

That might be the best at bat Johnny has had against a righty all year. Nice job!...then a horrible first-pitch groundout by Drew before I can even finish typing.

An uninspiring start from Felix. Did enough to at least keep the Sox in the game, but boy, I'm not sure they can keep him in the rotation pitching like this with the guys they have available

Enough of these 3 pitch outings.

There just are no words for Holt.
I hope Farrell picks him for the AS game.

How Holt made that catch, and then hung onto that ball is a mystery. Let alone how he didn't seem to get hurt rolling over his wrist. Makes plays no matter where they put him

Wanna know why I will not give up on this team for a long time still? They have 2 fantastic starting pitchers (Lester, Lackey) 3 great setup men (Taz, Miller, Badenhop), and 1 dominant closer (Koji). Yes they have seriously struggled with the bats this season, but that is a pitching core that can still do some major damage.

Got to get this one now (this morning). Leadoff on. A win and Lester on Sun = split. But it requires a few hits.

Hard to believe that Doolittle is even better than Koji this year. 1BB/48K this year.

Terrible throw by Holt, but for obvious reasons, can't be too hard on him.
