So Bogaerts' new approach is to swing at every pitch no matter how high or outside it is?

Young Bogie is in a bit of a slump. Might be a good time to sit him for a few days, have him watch some tape, rip it in the cages, get his focus back.

Xander clearly looks like he's pressing. I figure that maybe he gets dropped in the order once Victorino gets back to Boston.
Has really scuffled in the two-spot, though I have no idea if he's scuffling because he's there, or just happens to be in that spot in the order while scuffling

Wanna know why I will not give up on this team for a long time still? They have 2 fantastic starting pitchers (Lester, Lackey) 32 great setup men (Taz, Miller, Badenhop), and 1 dominant closer (Koji). 3 fantastic starting pitchers. You forgot RDLR.

The game of baseball is great. What sucks about it is that a player's contract plays a big role in his playing time. Not just us. But, in many places. Peavy and Doubront do not belong in this rotation. Better keep Workman and DeLaRosa in there as your 3 and 4. If Buchholz struggles upon his return, get Ranaudo in there.

Last night was probably a new low for the Red Sox offense. If you can't crush a pitcher like Mills who was recently traded for a $ 1, then every one in the lineup should hang their heads in shame.

The frustrating thing is that with the league is so crappy this year, they still have a shot. But the odds are against the offensive to turn significantly around. They are not this bad, and will have better days. How good, who knows. Just seems like too many issues now, and thus too many things have to go right. Their problems are more than " hitting into bad luck". But sometimes things can turn around fast.

Gogo, things turn around, yes. But then they turn around for the worse. Ask Didi.

Please do not finish at .475, get a mid round, unprotected draft pick and then lose Lester for only a draft pick in return.

So they called Cecchini up for a few days to sit on the bench, and now we get to see Herrera at 3B. Great, just great.

Shut him down for the rest of the yearsummer, have him ready to go next yearin the playoffs. FTFY. (Just kidding, we can't even beat a replacement level pitcher so nevermind about the playoffs.)

Agreed, Herrara serves no purpose on this team, he is an average fielder AT BEST. And can't hit. i would rather have Cecchini up.

"Last night was probably a new low for the Red Sox offense." ---------------------------------------------------------- Dave O'Brien in Sox pregame said the club isn't going anywhere without an additional bat. Are broadcasters supposed to say that?

Rubby looking sharp today. He needs to, too, if we're gonna win this game it'll be 1-0 or thereabouts.

Great start today for Rubby so far, this is important for him and his progress. Hope he keeps it up and If he has a solid outing, i see their is no chance of pulling him from the starting rotation.
