Just wondering if anyone has seen him yet this year? Saw that he pitched over 2 innings in relief last night, first multiple inning outing of the year. Are they beginning to stretch him out for some starts as Owens and Johnson move up to Pawtucket and his arm strength builds during the TJ recovery?

He's almost certainly a relief-only prospect going forward. He hasn't started a game since 2011, and due to his size (6'0" 170) and lack of a third pitch, he doesn't really fit the starter profile. They're probably having him throw multiple-inning stints to maximize the number of reps he'll get this year.

Don't read that much into one appearance. He only threw 27 pitches, which is probably why they let him stay in that long.
Plus, although 7-inning CGs from Owens and Johnson helped save the bullpen given what essentially were doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday, the only other guy in the bullpen who was fully rested was probably Ott (Boscan had the same rest, but essentially made a start on Wednesday. That's probably why they let him keep going, given that he was dealing and the pitch count didn't get up there.
