I guess there is something to hope for buying low on an Allen Craig. I mean he is a guy who has a career OPS of .803 and a career wRC+ of 123 but got he has been brutal this year. Well below replacement level.

This deal is terrible. The Cardinals must be laughing like crazy. They got to keep their good prospects and trade an injury slowed Allen Craig to the Red Sox so the Sox can enjoy his decline and they traded up getting Lackey for Kelly.
So the Sox downgrade their rotation as Kelly is nothing special and could very well become a piñata at Fenway and they get the downside or Allen Craig's career.

I think that the Red Sox already have one of the best ground crews around. They have an obvious problem with their offense.

Are you guys on drugs??? This is a fantastic haul. Textbook buy low on Craig and Kelly. Can we all calm down. Definitely helps us compete next year which is Ben Cherington's goal. I'm a prospect junkie but this is just good value.

Probably not Craig as he doesn't have nearly as much value as he's worth |
