“@bnightengale: The need for #Phillies ace Cole Hamels just rose dramatically:The #Yankees have just scored 7 runs off #RedSox starter Clay Buchholz in 1st.”
Lol. I hate sports writers

“@bnightengale: The need for #Phillies ace Cole Hamels just rose dramatically:The #Yankees have just scored 7 runs off #RedSox starter Clay Buchholz in 1st.” Lol. I hate sports writers Aside from a select few honest and thoughtful writers (at least in the mainstream media), its all about clickbait. Nothing different from non-sports related news. Oh my gosh an inning happened, Red Sox HAVE to trade for Cole Hamels now! Give me a break Nightengale.

P.S. you're all gonna regret your comments when Buchholz finishes the game by retiring the final 25 batters in a row.

Clay is embarrassing. It's more embarrassing he is still in the organization.

Are people really writing of bucholz off for the year based on a bad inning?

Don't forget the Sox have the upper hand with Buch, he is into his option years and if this continues like it always does I don't see them exercising it. Thank the lord for team options.

Mookie would have gotten to 3rd on that wild pitch.

If I'm the other team, I'm always throwing to the plate when Ortiz tags, no matter how deep the fly ball.

Amazing that everyone on that broadcast thinks that DiMaggio (80.7 aWAR, 41.0 peak 5 years aWAR) was a greater player than Mantle (110.0 aWAR, 51.6 aWAR5). In fact, Mantle is very close to Gehrig (114.4, 51.3) and my era adjustment puts him ahead. The debate over the 4th greatest Yankee is between DiMaggio and Rivera.
(I guess Joe D's insistence on being introduced as "the greatest living ballplayer," which wasn't remotely true, has paid off.)
And, yeah, Berra is head of Jeter.

Xander baby! Good signals during the AB that he took the pitch prior that was perfectly located by Tanaka. Waited for his pitch and drove it.

When did Mookie start chasing bad pitches? It's been bad.

Again, Mookie looking like JBJ circa 2014. Taking strikes, swinging at balls.
Hopefully he gets through this quickly.
