So Harang remains the only pitcher to have a quality start against the Red Sox this season. And it doesn't count because we couldn't use a DH in that game.

Again I hate victorino. He should be out. I don't hate him at all. He was a 5 win player in a year we won the WS. He also was clutch in the Detroit series. I just think that it may be time for him to hang up the cleats.

Man how long does this victorino thing last? Really shouldn't be starting against righties, and especially one that throws 95+ and can drop that change-up in there.

Miley not commanding the fastball well tonight, but TB's lineup is putrid.

I just think that it may be time for him to hang up the cleats. Well, not necessarily hang up the cleats... he could still be a fine platoon or defensive sub player for another team, but the Red Sox have no need of him.

Pedroia must be hitting 60% groundballs on balls in play.

Pedroia must be hitting 60% groundballs on balls in play. 53%, but yeah his batted ball rates don't indicate that he's headed for much of a change from the last couple of years offensively.

Ya know, for a guy like Pedroia, we shouldn't even talk about it. He is what he is. With a little more power than we've seen.

I was probably saying this in December. But I was probably harsher on Craig, who really isn't proving a damn thing either.

Good news is we have the young, cost-controlled talent to make up for it.

Sandoval looking to improve his .022 ISO and/or 62% GB rate here.
Edit - Flyout kills one bird

Pedroia is a 2 win player based on defense alone when he's 37.

That being said, I'm looking at his contract now and it isn't back loaded, so I take that back.

Logged in on my phone after I read all the (deserving) Vic flack. Knew something was coming. Picking up an insurance run here would be nice.
But yes I agree, Castillo's bat would make the lineup feel a lot more comforting.
