Minor league central has some plate discipline stuff from milb.com gameday, I believe. But only for some levels, and there's reason to believe that that data is at least somewhat unreliable and not particularly comparable to the PITCHf/x data from the majors.

We also have access to O-Swing/Contact % and Z-Swing/Contact %. For the minors? Where? That one's news to me. Knew we had access to the other stuff you mentioned. Fangraphs

Went to the Syracuse vs. Buffalo game tonight. Figured with Strasburg throwing a rehab start it was worth it. He wasn't super sharp, but it was a gentle reminder of how stupid a pitcher can make Triple-A batters look when he can get to two strikes and then throw a curveball.
Trea Turner didn't do anything with the bat, but holy moley did he make up for it with the leather. He made two outstanding plays and a third tough one, plus one routine-ish play but with a fast runner where he set himself and unloaded a bullet to first.
Joba Chamberlain pitched. He might be my least favorite player of all time, so seeing him toil for the Buffalo Bisons, even when getting a save, feels really nice.
But here is my big takeaway: Matt Hague, world famous Quad-A superstar, is in fact not a Quad-A player and would rake if given the chance in the majors. Basically he is this decade's Kevin Youkilis. He's sorta dumpy looking (but not fat, just sorta shaped funny), and he has a similarly weird stance. He holds his bat up and out in front of his head, a little like a cross between Youkilis and Julio Franco, but standing almost upright. Then, when the pitch is coming, he does this extreme weight shift back where he almost looks like he's crouching. So yeah, a lot of weird stuff going on there. But here's the thing - he has both great coordination and pitch selection. He ripped one Strasburg fastball to center and fisted another one in the same direction. He got ahead of an AJ Cole fastball and ripped a base hit to left, then against lefty Matt Grace stayed back and tore a double toward the right field line. While his body is doing funny things everything going on with his hands is just perfect.
A team who is out of contention and needs a first baseman - I'm at a loss for a team that might fit that description right now - should definitely offer the old PTBNL or cash for him and give him a good look over the last couple months.

Matt Hague with another four-hit game for Buffalo tonight. It's his 51st multi-hit game this season. It's his 16th with at least three hits. We shouldn't still be having Roberto Petagine's.

I was at the Auburn vs. Batavia game yesterday. I realized it was the first ever single-A game that I'd been to that wasn't in Lowell. Auburn's park is tiny but charming. Their attendance has been poor but the park is owned by the municipality which keeps the pressure down some to turn in big profits, I figure. There weren't a ton of people there Sunday, as it was 90+ and humid.
Unfortunately, neither Stone Garrett (Marlins 8th round pick last year having a monster season) or Andrew Wilkerson (Nats 2nd round pick) were in the lineup. BUT, Brett Lilek was the starter for Batavia and he was pretty excellent. Wasn't able to gauge his fastball but either his curveball was very impressive. Rhett Wiseman, in particularly, looked awful against Lilek, and Wiseman isn't some chump. Wiseman did look like he might struggle against lefties in general though. He hits from a pretty deep crouch and he was just leaning out trying to reach everything moving away from him. In his only at-bat against a righty, he drilled a two-run base hit to center. Anyway, Lilek didn't give up a hit until there were two outs in the fourth, and he made most of the hitters look pretty bad.
Victor Robles didn't do much in terms of the box score but he definitely had that "best player on the field" look to him. One thing that's always pronounced at the lower level of the minors is the way the ball jumps off different hitters' bats differently. I see scouts talk a lot about how the ball jumps off the bat, but basically by the time a player reaches Triple-A (maybe even Double-A in most cases) they are good enough to really be able to strike the ball with authority. That's not the case in the Short Season League, so when a guy like Robles uses a low effort swing to generate a pretty long fly to center, it's easy for an untrained observer like me to notice - even when it ends up going for an out. Defensively, he was only challenged once, going a long way to the wall to chase down a fly ball. He looked smooth.
Anfernee Seymour, who is out of the Bahamas and has gotten some press, was very fast and pretty good at shortstop from what I could tell. He's very raw at the plate, but was able to make solid contact once on an Ichiro-like swing where he was already turning his momentum toward first base. So yeah, the swing mechanics leave a lot to be desired but the hand-eye coordination and defense are good enough that he'll get the opportunity to improve.
The winning pitcher was Adam Boghosian. It said in the program he is from Boston originally, but it appears that he went to high school in North Carolina, and then played at North Greenville University. Does anyone know if he's related to the Boston Globe photographer of the same name?
EDIT: ALSO, Auburn has a pitcher on its roster named Joan Baez. Amazing.

Altoona just won, clinching a playoff spot. That give PITTS 3 playoff teams in the top 5 MILB levels (AAA, AA, A+, A-, A short).
19 MLB clubs have one or two playoff teams. SIX MLB clubs have ZERO affiliates currently in the playoffs (ATL, WASH, MIA, COL, LAA, BOS). FIVE clubs have 3 or more:
HOUS 5 !! (every team) TEX 3 PHIL 3 AZ 3 PITT 3
There are still more than half a dozen races going down to the last day of play. Greenville is still alive.
EDIT 9:50 PM: Jacksonville just beat Mississippi 7-3. which clinches a playoff spot for Pensacola Blue Wahoos. AA Southern League (CIN REDS, 2ND TEAM)
EDIT 10:27 PM: Springfield Cardinals was just eliminated with a loss to Tulsa, 10-4. This clinches the division for the Arkansas Travelers (LAA first playoff team). AA TEXAS LEAGUE.

MONDAY REVIEW:
S.A.L.: Asheville magic number is ONE over Greenville. NYPL: 4 team scrum for 2 spots. "State College holds the head-to-head tiebreaker over West Virginia, but Aberdeen has the tiebreaker over the Spikes (State College)" I don't have the tiebreaker rules, but: www.centredaily.com/2015/09/06/4908197/state-college-spikes-playoff-hopes.html NW League: Salem-Keizer Volcanoes clinched over Eugene, who lost tonite. Regular season ended Sunday. (Salem-K is a 2nd playoff team for San Francisco.)
PCL: El Paso has tiebreaker over Las Vegas. El Paso has magic number of 2 entering play on Sunday.
35-year old, former 19-game winner, NYY Chien-Ming Wang tries to eliminate Las Vegas (Mets) tonite. He gets the start for Tacoma opposing LV.
EDIT: El Paso blew the lead in the 9th Sunday, goes to extra innings.
EDIT 5 a.m.: El Paso clinched Sunday, giving SD a 3rd playoff team. El Paso won in the 10th. Wang went 8 innings to defeat Vegas on Sunday and eliminate them.
"The (Aberdeen) IronBirds can clinch a playoff spot with a win and a Staten Island loss or a West Virginia loss." Which means Aberdeen has the tiebreaker over West Virginia. (And State College.)

The billings Paper is a little unclear on what is going on as it doesn't mention everything. "The North Division first-half champion Osprey snapped a four-game losing streak and moved to 19-18 in the second half. They are tied atop the standings with the Billings Mustangs with one regular-season game remaining. The Mustangs could earn a playoff berth by winning the second half, or if Missoula, Billings and Great Falls all end up at 19-19 in the second half. The Mustangs would win the tie-breaker based on head-to-head matchups with the Voyagers. Missoula (42-32 overall) will begin the postseason on the road Wednesday in either Billings or Great Falls. The final two games -- if necessary -- of the three-game divisional series will be played in Missoula on Thursday and Friday" missoulian.com/sports/osprey/missoula-osprey-top-helena-brewers-to-end-skid/article_b38e0649-d501-5aac-9d97-81fe6bcad66e.html

if it is a 2-way tie for 2nd place at 19-19, the Great Falls gets it based on overall record. www.milb.com/milb/standings/playoff_procedures.jsp?lid=128&sid=milb

www.baseballamerica.com/minors/2015-organization-standings-league-champs/BA bringing the final 2015 MiLB standings by Org. Unsurprisingly, Sox land in the bottom third, weighed down mostly by the struggles of a depleted Pawtucket squad and a Portland team we knew was going to suck that was also hit hard by injuries. The two DSL teams wound up cancelling each other out in their first split season in a long time, one bad and one very good.
