Just because I love to keep tabs on them, but what's the thought on the Yankees draft?

With the draft structure the way it is, the 3rd and 4th round are interesting, after which 5-10 basically nothing happens. 11th and 12th are interesting again. Fixed that for you.

I wonder if LHP Logan Allen could be the pick. The article linked a few days ago said we called him Lester and loved his makeup. Was rated just outside the top 100 most places.

With Josh Naylor going top 12, it will be interesting to see where Kep Brown lands. He has a similar profile, with massive power, a questionable hit tool, and a limited defensive profile. If he had not torn his Achilles in the middle of the season, it would not have surprised me to see him go top 15 as well.

I've seen complaints on him for years on MLB game-of-the week. Why is he still on the air? When he does the on the field demonstration stuff it's actually pretty good. But that's the stuff he doesn't have to prepare for. The woman on quick pitch in the mornings ans christopher russo also are pretty annoying. Thanks Chris for putting the pod cast so quickly after the other one... Its a nice surprise to wake up to on a Tuesday morning.

Any predictions who we will take today. Last year was interesting kind of a shift in tactics. Right now it looks like we might end up with a couple of utility players and bullpen help but on the high end sort of speak. To me I think it's very crafty to make lemonade out of lemons sort of. Also grabbing some talented pitchers who had injuries issues.
I am interested to see what pans out, it's not like we have a ton of money to throw around. That's why I loved the fact they went balls out with the international prospects. I bet the Dodgers are gonna do that this year. That's why I love the ownership and FO when it comes to this aspect. The reporters could complain all they want but other teams don't have a clue and some other teams are catching on now after all those years of terrible management with the draft. (I.E. Pirates,Royals and Astros) to name a couple years of top picks and having the worst strategy it's amazing when the last couple of years you change your tune you see what can happen.
Regarding our pick I don't know anything I am going on what I heard. I tell you it would of been easy to go with there strong suit and grab a pitcher but I thought it was ballsy to try something else. Look at the Cubs they have hitting and they grab hitting and they could use pitching in my opinion. I am so pumped and I am fortunate to have Soxprospects to guide the way through this. Thanks guys!

Apropos of nothing, really, but ... looking back through the draft history, and once again all hail the 2011 Red Sox draft. It's produced potential All-Stars at catcher and CF (Swihart & Betts), a current asset bullpen arm (Barnes), a top starting pitching prospect (Owens), and a still-viable CF prospect in JBJ. And a 2nd round NFL draft pick (Senquez Golson) ...
And, you know, two guys who ended up in jail ... so nothing is perfect.

Baker may be a very hard sign at this point.
