Jay anywhere in the top 6 is good news for us. Though, that might force MIN's hand to take Tate, which would be a bummer.
I'm hoping for Tate, Fulmer, or Benintendi. Think it will be a fun day regardless. Love the draft.

Naylor is a BIG boy. If his swing isn't too long it's easy to see the potential offensively.

Draft Day Board: 1. Swanson 2. Rodgers 3. Tate 4. Bregman 5. Tucker 6. Benintendi 7. Whitley (Underslot) 8. Fulmer 9. Cameron 10. Jay Wildcards for Underslot Deals: (Ordered by my preference after Whitley) Randolph Happ Clark Allard Aiken Targets for pool savings: Bryce Denton 3B/OF Vandy Commit Jacob Taylor RHP LSU Commit My hoped for scenario. I've been pounding the drums for Whitley, particularly if he will go underslot.

I'm skipping going to the gym tonight to sit home and watch the draft. All my friends, family, training partners, and co-worker think I'm crazy.......they just don't understand. Bizarre Why not watch ad you workout? I will be doing both. Planned my workout for the draft time. Best of both worlds :-)

I'm guessing Houston trying for Cameron at 37 is going to happen, by trying to save some money on Bregman and Benintendi with their first two picks. I'm split between Fulmer and Tucker as BPA, leaning slightly towards Fulmer and expecting Tucker will not be available at 7. If we pick Aiken I will assume they like his medicals and I'll complete the first 100 back flips of my life consecutively.
I'm not very excited about any bats outside of Tucker (Rodgers will be gone), that's why I like the big 3 college pitchers.

I have seen Jay in only 1 inning today and I already feel he should be the pitcher the Sox draft if he falls. Pitcher: Jay or Fulmer. Hitter: Tucker or Nintendo.

Jay is pitching right now on ESPN2. So far, 2IP, H, R, 2K (solo HR to Wiel).
EDIT: 1st home run allowed all year.

It seems as if Tucker has fallen slightly with eric's table showing 4 of 7 draftniks projecting him to Philly at 10, 2 of 7 projecting him to Cinci at 11 and only 1 projecting him at 5 to Hou. His corner profile may keep him out of the top 10 with Benintendi, Clark, and Cameron getting more love as potential CFers.

And he was linked heavily to picks 4-6. I think Houston has a big chance to take him at 5, depending on signing demands and strategy for Cameron, and he could be a favorite at #6 depending who is on the board.

Swanson just homered off Jay. Teed off on an elevated slider.

It is interesting to think where Moncada, or Devers would of went in this years draft.

Chris Crawford @crawfordchrisv 21 sec. Source tells me that Daz Cameron is on top of the Tampa Bay #Rays board and a deal is being worked on.

Law addresses Moncada saying that he'd be top 5 but it's tough to compare given differences in competition and accessibility.

Here's the mock table expanded to 17 teams -- because that's as low as anyone has Happ going.
I've also constructed a consensus, which interestingly matches BA's through 13 picks.
And (edit) a consensus reflecting post-mock buzz with the Rockies taking Jay and the Rays Cameron.

Harold Reynolds starting off strong with pre-draft coverage, on considering HS catcher Tyler Stephenson for the first pick...
"Hey, they say don't go catcher with the first pick, but I always say, all those Latin guys, those Latin catchers, they didn't go to college!"
Smh.

Lol, Ashe Russell on his comparisons to Buchholz: We both work fast. We have similar deliveries.
