Kevin Kelleher, RHP, New Orleans. He's a Senior and by the looks of it nothing special. Hasn't pitched a whole lot in college (3 years, 3 schools). But there is this, after a 13 strikeout, 5 1/3 inning performance: "He (Kelleher) has got enough stuff that he doesn't have to come over the plate. When he's 0-2 or 1-2, he's got to make his pitch. What can you say. He had 13 strikeouts, but we didn't hit the ball enough early and we made the errors and just got behind it," said Coach Ron Maestri. I thik it was Speier who mentioned that he hit 100mph. That should get a few around excited. If he can control, then we might be on to something. So, maybe something special after all. I hope one of these LHP's becomes at least a left-handed specialist. Maybe. But, they're going to draft a lot of org guys today. Accept this. And guys they know, or think, will likely be org guys. That's ok. Those guys are important, too. And some will figure something out or develop something or get bigger and stronger and maybe make some contribution to the Sox or another ML club.

I completely understand that. That is why I am hoping. We need to be able to field entire teams.

If we are going to field an entire team we should probably draft a few more center fielders.

Not a terribly sexy start to Day 3, but I get it. The biggest names are still on the board, so its probably reasonable to assume their signability concerns are very legit.
