Neshek was lucky his pitching hand missed that ball.

I'm hoping Ben pulls a Beane...
Farrell: "I'm pitching Breslow" Ben: "You can't" Farrell: "I'm the manager and Breslow's pitching in the 8th in a tie game" Ben: "You can't John, he's been traded" Farrell: "Then I'm using Masterson" Ben: "He was released before I came to speak with you. Let's try using some of the better relievers, that'll help us get back in the division race"

Not with one of your two best hitters.

Wait, why didn't he bring in Tazawa!? I have to assume there was some sort of terrorist plot unfolding and Tazawa was the only one who could stop it. Otherwise, inexcusable. Speaking of inexcusable, here's a sac bunt!

Ladies and gents... I hate to be critical, but this has not been John Farrell's best game as a strategist.

Now he sends the tying run to steal 3B, you've got to be kidding me. WOW.

Having Holt bunt against Neshek is only slightly less atrocious than the Breslow move...

And then you run into an out. Just horrible.

Just throwing away outs left and right here.

Farrell is a s*** manager. That's absolutely obvious. I blame the management for not DFA'ing Breslow, but keeping him in a tied game? That's horrible managing. And that may be an euphemism.

Not with one of your two best hitters. I don't necessarily agree that Holt is one of the two best hitters in on the team in general, but you'd think he could get pretty good results swinging away against a righty sidearmer. And you could additionally give Mookie the green light to steal 2nd base. So yeah, didn't like that bunt.

I'm almost mad at the Red Sox offense for bailing Farrell out.

This team just continues to find ways to baffle you night after night. ... I'm equally as baffled when things actually go their way - which does seem to be happening a bit more lately. Ortiz!

Farrell coming up huge here. That stolen base attemp is inexplicable. People say that bad tactical management doesn't matter that much, but I've watched a manager cost his team the lead TWICE tonight.

Toronto and Baltimore have lost. They need to have this game.
