JBJ just made me laugh loud this that throw. That's unfair.

Damn, Papi's wRC+ for July - 172. For August - 188 as of yesterday. This is like the 2007 version of him.
Thank god his option vested! haha

Erod was smart to shake Hanigan off 4 times for that high inside fastball on Arod.

Mookie bunting, huh? Well I'm pretty much off of the Lovullo train.

Mookie bunting, huh? Well I'm pretty much off of the Lovullo train. Especially with ERod nearing the end of the line for tonight. How many runs are we going to need once the bullpen enters the game? Gotta try to drive in runs.

Mookie bunting, huh? Well I'm pretty much off of the Lovullo train. How do we know it's the manager's doing?

That's a home run at almost any other park.

How do we know it's the manager's doing? Did Mookie square, or did he try to lay it down on the run? Jeter used to do that regularly. Lay down a bunt with runners on to either get the hit or the sacrifice. I doubt the interim manager is managing AB's pitch by pitch. He "may" have asked for a bunt, or he may not have. We don't know.

Maybe there was no market at all. But it sure would have been nice to sell high on Brock Holt at the deadline...

I think including him in a trade package would still be a decent idea. I also think Zobrist could be a bargain signing because of his age, while he's still a very productive utility guy. Could help mitigate risk of JBJ/Castillo/Panda/Hanley busting next year.

Holt may just be tired. I know that concern has been brought up about Pedroia in the past and how some guys perform better with more rest built in.

Really excited about stopping watching Ogando pitch next year. Even with that double play I'm with ya on celebrating not watching him.
