Um, this whole line of discussion started when you did not spare us your intuition. Well, well, well. I have met Ted Williams and Yaz and other notables over the years, and my intuition is that because we remain in first place finishing another tough road trip, still in the crappy weather phase of the season, it is still too early for gloom and doom prognostications about Price, Buchholz, Kelly, Owens or anyone else on the team, or the team itself. These are capable players working with competent coaches who will likely get through whatever issues are bothering them. Some members of this board were recently having visions of the sky falling on JBJ, Mookie, XB, Hanley, Brockstar and others. Is there a pattern here? Yeah. So much for your intuition. The Orioles are in first place. FTR, I never "predicted" doom and gloom with regards to Price. I do believe he is an overvalued commodity. Nothing more, nothing less.

With huge contracts given out the past few years and "no bang for the buck", one can only be concerned about Price at the moment. Im sure Dombrowski is working the phones in search of starting pitching upgrades. Imagine Hamels as your #2 right now? Imagine not having Mookie in right? Blasphemy!

Happy Mother's Day. Hit them up if they are here, prayers if they have passed. Hope Mrs Wright is a proud mother tonight.Float like a butterfly , sting like a bee. Steal one in NY and flee.

Also this with a graph at the link: @brianmacp LRT: David Price now releasing the ball at a higher point than he has in years. Steady upward trajectory lately. IIRC, the study that was referenced in the whole predicting Carson Smith's injury thread, found that change in release point was one of the variables that was predictive of an injury (while slider usage wasn't). I'm too lazy to find the link But hurt guys usually drop their arm slot. I can't recall a guy who was hurt compensating by throwing more over the top.

You may be right; I'm not sure if it was magnitude or signed. If you look through that thread you cn find the link, it was an mlbtraderumours study (their search sucks)

I'm worried about Mookie. Those red socks clash terribly with the pink arms. Is his sense of style salvageable?

Looks almost like Steven Wright is starting to figure out how to warm up so that he has his best knuckleball available from pitch #1. Could be a CG today.

Holt passivity at the plate is going to catch up with him: They're throwing him meatballs in 0-0 counts and he never swings. Something to watch.

At Yankee Stadium rocking my #72 Bogaerts Jersey. Couldn't be happier to see my boy, the ace, Steven Wright on the hill. Easy win coming.

By results so far this year, Wright already has all the runs he needs.

I guess I can handle it if every hit against Severino is a HR.
However, annoying that we haven't had more hits tonight. Considering pretty much all of the fastballs he's throwing are meatballs.

Papi HAD to hit one out this series. All that jeering by the Yanks fans Friday night when he rightfully complained about the bad call at the plate was disgraceful. This is how Papi tells them to shut up.
