Kimbrel's gonna blow this now, isn't he? Un-be-lievable.

Exhibit Z on why Farrell sticks with his starters so long.

It is tough to feel comfortable with Kimbrel out there. Watching him pull his fastballs down and away to RHH was old in June. Not pretty.
Edit: Oh, and CAN WE PLEASE GET AN ACTUAL OUTFIELDER TO PLAY LEFT?!?

And could we preemptively censor all the "it's Farrell's fault for using Kimbrel in a non-save situ". Please

We gave Manny Margot for this trash reliever?

Kimbrel is great in save situations, not so much in non-save ones.

Its amazing how awful this team is with men on base. I think there are stats to show that the Sox are in fact not that dreadful with men on base/in scoring position in most situations. Well, Kimbrel didn't EXACTLY blow it, but he put the wheels in motion. Davis' double was on a ball low inside, out of the zone (at least, according to pitch tracker). Sometimes s**t happens.

Exhibit Z on why Farrell sticks with his starters so long. At this point there is nobody in the pen who has earned any amount of trust.

I want Castillo in LF while Benny is still hurt.
I also never want to see Kimbrel again, but that's not happening either.

Maybe Koji can give the Red Sox 7 weeks of 2013 magic. Otherwise, it's not hard to write how this season ends

Oh, and CAN WE PLEASE GET AN ACTUAL OUTFIELDER TO PLAY LEFT?!? Maybe a young one with some speed, defense, and contact ability...

Look....the sky hasn't fallen yet. Balt lost and Toronto lost two of three to the Rays. I'm just wondering why every loss feels like root canal without novocaine.

How do you justify walking the leadoff hitter ? You cannot walk batters as a reliever. Your right about the hit, it happens..
