setting up interesting for Bullpen. We may see Barnes/Taz/Ross et for 7 and 8, and a Ziegler close.

MLB isn't showing that as a double for Papi. It should be considered one because he was initially safe and then came off the bag.

I would like to see Taz get some of the 8th inning. For Old Times Sake

I really like what Barnes is doing. The competition for getting onto the playoff roster may be working wonders for this staff.

Whoa, Scott unfazed in a high leverage situation. Maybe he'll be what Layne and Abad were supposed to be for this team in the playoffs.

Robbie Scott throwing frisbees. Clearly ahead of Abad in the depth chart now. Big spot for him.
and....very nicely done.

He's got the stuff - just needs to use it consistently.

Spread it out a bit, here, Mookie, to settle the 9th a bit...
(was I the only one who's heart skipped just a bit, off the crack o the bat, for Papi?)

Ho hum...another win!!!
Magic numbers - 4 for the division, 2 for the playoffs. Piece of cake!
5th win of the season when scoring less than 3 runs.

9=4. I would never put the winning run on base with 2 outs in the 9th. That was real bravado.

Nice to see the Sox piece together four innings without using Uehara or Kimbrell. This whole expanded roster thing really agrees with Farrell. He seems to be pushing the right buttons right now.

This run feels like the west coast trip back in 2004. You can just feel that a switch has been flipped.

Robbie Scott specifically referenced (again) by JF during NESN postgame...seems, so far, that Scott is "Acing" his audition for a post season BP roster spot

Who scouted Robbie scott? Nice job getting him. Independent league is good to the Red Sox.

And he's yet another 2011 acquisition, although not from the draft.

If I'm remembering correctly, Robby Scott was playing for Yuma Arizona in 2011 and his then manager, Jose Conseco (the real one) called the Sox and told them they should take a look.

9=4. I would never put the winning run on base with 2 outs in the 9th. That was real bravado. That took gumption, alright. Even Remy was questioning putting the potential winning run on base. But Farrell, in his post game, was clear, he didn't want to pitch to Dickerson. He thought his odds were better facing the rookie, Querecoco (sp?). And he was proven right.

The bullpen made Farrell look like an idiot all year; now they're making him look like a genius.

I really like what Barnes is doing. The competition for getting onto the playoff roster may be working wonders for this staff. Seriously. And JOE FREAKIN' KELLY!! What's gotten into the guy? For God's sake, Robby Scott looks like a cagey 12-yr vet out there. The bullpen's even hotter right now than the offense was back in May. It's ridiculous.
