Very true, I certainly am not qualified and probably shouldn't be throwing my opinion around like that. I will just be pretty bummed out if the Sox end up with two lost years from this whole issue but I realize that is the nature of the game and every case is different. I suppose I should just trust for now that the Sox and David Price know what they are doing.

I'm starting to get a bad feeling about this. It sounds like he is experiencing some soreness again. This could still end in surgery. If he waits too much longer, suddenly the 2018 season is in jeopardy as well.

I hear you. But if he can't pitch this year (and half of next) it seems that we may be reduced to a latter day version of Spahn & Sain...
Wright, Rodriguez and Pomeranz seem flotsam... a good game here or there but not reliable. Owens and Johnson do not improve prospects. I would love Rodriguez for the BP this year... quality stuff and a non loogy..much better than Ross or Abad. Our LH relief is a huge Achilles heel.
But with Price on the shelf,.....the best laid plans...go awry.

Certainly the situation is worrisome. However, Peter Abraham reports Price threw with "zip" yesterday. And isn't it to be expected that there would be soreness associated with stepped up activity? That's always the case even when people are doing jumping jacks.

David with a 30 pitch mound outing throwing all his pitches. Says he feels good. So that's a good sign. Next should be a BP session.

Well 2 of our 3 # 4 & #5 starters were all stars last season. Can even 1 staff other than the Sox make that claim. I'd bet that no other team can claim an all star even for their #3 starter, maybe even #2. We have 2 competing for spots and the other many believe as the upside of a front of the rotation starter. Everyone Forgets Brian Johnson. Bartolo Colon is set to be the Braves #3 starter and he was an All Star in 2016. So yeah, great way to judge a pitching staff I'd say. Also, everyone forgets Brian Johnson for a reason. Care to revisit this?

Care to revisit this? Yeah, sure. Looking at all-star appearances is still about as bad a way of evaluating baseball players as you could use, and Brian Johnson is still a fringy MLB starter.

Price looks good tonight. He is throwing really well. Finishing his pitches. Good location.
I think he will tire soon, but I like the delivery.

And Price temporarily shuts 30 odd Boston sportswriters up again [ From shrill to thrilled. From denigrate to celebrate. A minor miracle.

Was nice to see him pitch so well. This team needs him so bad.

I couldn't care less if he talks to reporters. I wish he wouldn't read them.

He's so soft... I wonder if there is any correlation to why he underperforms in the post season.

There's going to be "C Everett Cook" moment from Price this year.

Gee Price is pretty mad, it must be hard being paid like Clayton Kershaw to pitch like Bartolo Colon.

Why? It's the first. Hit him up again on the 15th.
