Koji still hitting 88-89. Should of kept him for a cheaper contract. Cheaper than what? What the Red Sox offered Koji was cheaper than what the Cubs offered so he became a Cub. Thornburg makes far less than Koji does, not that that's doing them any good right now. And yes, I wish Koji was still a Red Sox. Koji is still Koji, and I still miss him. He was one of my all-time favorites and I've been watching for 37 years.

Farrell got lucky after leaving in Taylor for too long against Schwarber there too. He was at 36 pitches at that point.

The amount of times the starters gets pulled in the middle of an inning this year is just embarrassing.

Fenway is probably the worst ballpark for Betts because he only pulls the ball for Homeruns and usually are linedrives. I think thats a Homer in any other ball park.

You don't trade for Thornburg, you non-tender Abad, you have about 4-5 million to go resign Koji at 6 million even with the luxury tax issue this year. Ohh and you have a 8th inning man in Koji instead of a DL pitcher in Thornburg.

I really don't understand what the f*** Farrell is doing in this game at all. Are there only 3 relief pitchers available in this game? The three worst ones? Is he losing the game on purpose?

Not to mention he leaves his starter in too long because he supposedly has no relievers. It's so stupid. I give up trying to hope there's a change coming at the manager position anytime soon and just accept that he's going to lose a lot of games for the Sox.

They traded Soler for this guy? How did Hammel get on the Royals?

The Orioles allowed 14 runs last night and 12 runs today so we should start scoring a bunch of runs in that series.

Having Matt Barnes out today might have cost the Sox in this game. What a bad game overall.

I was following along and I saw the Farrell let Wright stay in. i couldn't understand that. The Barnes situation proved to be not good. I don't know. I think this is the best team in the AL, but the errors and the lack of offense is killing us.

Betts Hit lasers in Seattle, Kansas City and Baltimore that I can remember for Homeruns that could have all been singles in Fenway. A lucky Homerun is when a fly ball drops in the first row of the Monster which would be a routine fly ball anywhere else.

He'll run into fastballs, which often provided the extra juice for the distant. Hittrackonline has him having 16 "Just Enough" HR and 5 "Lucky" last year. Yes Fenway might eat some linedrive HR, he's benefiting greatly from Camden Yard and Fenway dimensions.

The Orioles allowed 14 runs last night and 12 runs today so we should start scoring a bunch of runs in that series. Well it is against the Yankees. Before today the Yankees are rated 2 in pitching, 3 in offense and 5 in defense. Judge, the much maligned, has 10 hrs. All this without Sanchez. The Sox are fortunate to be one game over. Prior to today they were ranked 3rd in pitching, 17th in defense (4 errors today will drop us big) and an amazing 26th in offense.

Did I hear right the Farrell explained he couldn't use Kelly today after he threw just 17 pitches yesterday?

Can we please send wright to the bullpen or dl or San Diego?
I would rather see Johnson, even if he does not win another game, get a shot as the fifth starter than watch wright blow yet another game.

What in the world has Brian Johnson ever done to make you think he's really a better option than Steven Wright? Johnson has been mediocre at Pawtucket.
