Well, I'm being nitpicky here, but MLBTR didn't say that. Mike Petriello of MLB.com, making a direct reference to MLB Pipeline's rankings, did.
And his reference, of course, doesn't make a ton of sense in that it's still the preseason list he's referencing, but I sort of get where he's coming from.
My point was that comment, without referring to a specific list, doesn't make very much sense at all.
OK, I'll stop being a perfectionist dick now.

Why would the White Sox do that? They can just trade him for the best offer. No one is claiming the rest of his salary, if he isn't traded by the deadline. They can wait if they feel the need to. What? You mean willing to take on? It's not that much and if the Sox eat a little bit almost any team can afford him. I don't see how you get more in a trade by not trading him at deadline. You run the risk of a team claiming him just to block him. They really can't wait though, they have to trade him or they get nothing. I don't see them giving him a qualifying offer. He makes 12 million this year, not 30 million. He will get claimed.

Back in July were looking to give up prospects to get Todd Frazier now he's a free agent without a draft pick attached to him. He made 12 million last year so offer one-year year 15 million contract .He can play third base against left-handers to give Devers a day off probably second base first base and left field and Better than giving JDM 6 years and he will only end up playing DH.
