Heck of a play. Panda is getting a little bit of his Kung Fu back tonight.

If we had a manager he might clean up some of this boneheaded base running.

This team is creative in its ability to be out on the basepaths.

So Velazquez stretched out enough to take Johnson's place in the rotation until we find some new raw meat?

Ya know.... that Mookie Betts kid might turn out to be a half-way decent player. Signed Captain Obvious

Heck of a play. Panda is getting a little bit of his Kung Fu back tonight. In fact it was a little bit frightening But Panda played with expert timing (keep on...keep on...keep on)

Sox BP has been killing it, think thats 21.1 straight scoreless since Hembree gave up the Grand Slam on Sunday.

The Red Sox have played well after they left NY. They are definitely solidifying their post-season chances. Hopefully Brian Johnson's injury isn't too serious or else their starting pitching depth takes a big hit.

Winning is fun!
Feel terrible for Johnson, always thought he would be an adequate 4/5 SP. Hopefully this injury isn't anything serious.

Tonight's game is a sure-fire reverse lock. There is no way the baseball gods allow a Red Sox win after last night's surprise. I know one can't expect perfection throughout the entire season, but I would like to see a dominant game in the box score after several decent, but not otherworldly, Chris Sale starts.

Sox lose by 8, which is coincidentally the same number of times OB will mention that Altherr's dad is a soccer player from Germany.

Side note: I still actually like OB, but he was better both on the radio and on ESPN TV broadcasts. Maybe it's a chemsitry thing with the color commentators, but there's a level of intentional dumbing down coming from NESN that is frustrating.

My problem is with the baseball-specific stuff.

But yes, NESN has one of the least analytically inclined broadcasts there are. My buddy raves about Houston's because he moved to Texas and yes their games on cable. Makes me jealous.
